Swiss Spirit colt, cost 16,500 gns as a foal and £52,000 as a yearling. Won a hot looking maiden easily enough at Leicester last time and bred to excel at sprint trips. Won't enjoy the step up in trip and the one to beat with that performance in the bag.
Camacho colt, cost €20,000 as a foal and €26,000 as a yearling. Half brother to winner Pleasant Day and Miss Bombay. Dam was an unplaced half-sister to 7f Group 2 winner Cairns. While he's sure to be better over around a mile, this looks a fair starting point and very much respected for this trainer and jockey combination.

Mount Nelson colt, cost 60,000 gns as a yearling. Dam was a smart US miler and a half-sister to Group 3 winner Purr Along. Sure to be suited to further but should go well enough with top international jockey booked.

Dubawi colt, half brother to three smart middle distance horses and dam was a 5f two-year-old winner out of triple Group 1 winner Canny Lass. Suspicion is that he'll want further than this but trainer couldn't be in better form and it's conceivable he'll have the speed for this. Not dismissed.

Equiano colt whose dam was a winner over 1m½f. Trainer not known for his debutantes and probably best watched in a field of this size.

Invincible Spirit colt, cost 95,000 gns as a yearling and went unsold at the breeze-ups at 290,000 gns. Plenty of stamina in his pedigree and will probably want further than this.

5/2
New Approach colt. Dam won both a Group Two and Group Three at Meydan (1m1½f), out of a 1m2f/1m3f winner. Third dam was Listed winner and Oaks third Melikah, a half-sister to Sea The Stars and Galileo out of Arc winner Urban Sea. Sure to want further than this but yard's juveniles are in fine form so not ruled out and he looks like the stables first-string.
First Defence colt, half-brother to sprinter Epic Voyage and dam was a US Grade 2 winner. Yard been a little quiet in recent weeks and can reveal expectations.

25/1
Poet's Voice colt, half-brother to six winners, mainly over middle distances and yard's debutantes often need their first outings.

Tathmeen
Age: 2|  Weight: 9-2| J: Jim Crowley| T: R Hannon
5/1
Exceed And Excel colt, half-brother to Jufn and Khobaraa. Dam a half-sister to Grade 3 1m winner Habaya out of Grade 1 winner Golden Apples. Trainer still in flying form and he could go close if this trip isn't too sharp on debut.

Forecasts

Masar (5/2), Invincible Army (7/2), Tathmeen (5/1), Kick On Kick On (7/1), Folk Tale (9/1), Another Day Of Sun (10/1), Bartholomeu Dias (14/1), Masked Defender (20/1), Montague (25/1), Hornby (100/1)

Verdict

KICK ON KICK ON will be hard to beat with the experience of his maiden win under his belt. Masar is impeccably bred and should give a good account but it's possible he'll want further than this. Silvestre De Sousa rides this course well and he runs Another Day Of Sun who should enjoy conditions.
  1. Kick On Kick On
  2. Masar
  3. Another Day Of Sun
