Frequently raced type who has been well held on all of his most recent starts, but has often been running in better company than this, for example in the Haldon Gold Cup in November, when he finished last of all. No better back down in class at Haydock last time though, and others make more appeal.
Makes his debut for this trainer having previously been with Alan King and losing his spark somewhat after some promising runs early in his career. Inconsistent on the whole, though, and is difficult to fancy off 3lb lower following a disappointing performance last time out.
C&D winner who is up 7lb for a convincing win at Wetherby last time and goes again in what promises to be a tougher race. Could have more to give even in his advancing years, however.
C&D winner who has been slightly inconsistent of late but returns to fences off a much higher mark than an easy victory here back in March. Should fine the ground now issue but needs to prove himself off his highest chase mark yet.
Off the mark over fences last time in a relatively similar event to this at Fontwell. Up 5lb in a bigger field which could put paid to his chances of winning, but holds definite place claims.

Minella Tweet (9/4), McCabe Creek (9/4), Sonneofpresenting (11/4), Strongly Suggested (3/1), Agincourt Reef (11/2), Purple 'n Gold (9/1)
This can go to SONNEOFPRESENTING. This lightly raced gelding of Kim Bailey’s is lightly raced and unexposed compared to most of the other horses in this field, and though he has to overcome a rise in the weights, he does hold course form, which should be a help. Last time out winner Strongly Suggested is preferred next, ahead of Minella Tweet.
