Beat Groundworker by ½L here in September 2016, and has continued to perform well at this track since (4,3,2,2,3) so every indication that she'll be on the premises. Mowed down late by Ambitious Icarus (runs earlier) over C&D in March and she's possibly just high enough in the weights for win purposes, but is much respected.

Won twice over 6F for Kristin Stubbs in August 2016 (Polytrack and a sound surface on turf), but beaten from higher marks thereafter. Drops in trip for stable debut and others could have slightly more toe.

Built upon her sound C&D maiden second to the subsequent winner Desert Sport when edging out Poet's Reward on her seasonal bow here on Good Friday. She wasn't stopping at the finish and an opening mark of 70 looks more than fair for her handicap debut.

2 from 2 at this track and a winner over both 5F and 6F. The handicapper might well have her measure now from a mark of 70, and we'll know that definitively after her return to this track which had appeared to suit her well previously. Poor draw.

Has various pieces of placed form which give her claims to win a race sooner rather than later, most notably her September 2016 Pontefract third to Brian The Snail. Probably better suited by this 5F trip (than 6F) and makes her AW debut today.

Her sole success in 16 career starts came over 6F at Chelmsford in August 2016 from a 5lb lower mark. Out of sorts since, but could be sharper for her return to action at Nottingham recently (slowly away).

Sprung a surprise when winning over C&D in February (with her trainer then hitting form), and bounced back from a moderate showing at Redcar thereafter with a sound second to Arnold at Ripon (6F) on Sunday. Enters the equation if turned out again.

Forecasts

Marseille (2/1), Kinloch Pride (5/2), Intense Romance (7/2), Horsforth (7/2), Little Kingdom (6/1), Dundunah (9/1), Manipura (14/1), Roys Dream (16/1)

Verdict

A nice fillies sprint handicap to conclude the eight race card at Gosforth Park. Kinloch Pride was a poignant winner on the day of her owners wake in March, and she hasn't looked back since winning a further three races on turf. However, she meets a few intriguing looking rivals today, but none more so than MARSEILLE. Her opening mark of 70 looks plenty reasonable enough and she was strong at the finish when landing a C&D maiden on Good Friday and rates as a fairly confident selection to follow up.
  1. Marseille
  2. Kinloch Pride
  3. Horsforth
