An inconsistent sort, he ran a promising race at Leopardstown (7f, soft) early last month before failing to back it up at Limerick (7f, good to firm) and the Curragh (1m, good) since. Hard to fancy back down in trip.
Dundalk maiden winner on the AW in December, ran a promising race on handicap debut at Cork (6f, good to firm) recently and may now build on it.
Won debut for previous yard at Tipperary (7½f, soft) last month, though unable to back that up off increased mark in 1m Naas contest (good to firm) subsequently. Since joined this trainer and looks best watched at the moment.
Has won over C&D before and last month's AW win at Dundalk over this trip was certainly a boost to confidence, raised 5lb for that though claimer negates it. One for the shortlist.
Is 4lb higher than when landing Killarney handicap over this trip in July, efforts since suggest it's going to be elusive to add to that prize for now.
Well beaten over C&D on debut last June, some promising efforts in AW maidens at Dundalk though was badly out of form in December when last spotted and may come on for this outing.
Couple of notable efforts in maiden company since returning to action this year, over 1m at Limerick (good) and 7f at Cork (good to firm). No surprise if there is more to come in this handicap debut.
Already a three-time C&D winner. Well beaten tenth of 11 behind Dasheen in handicap at Tipperary (7½f, soft) 42 days ago. Cheekpieces on for the first time, record ensures he isn't crossed off the list.
Won over C&D last month on soft ground and has since landed a gamble at Ayr (good to firm) over same trip in good style. More weight now but likely still has a strong chance.
Has a bit to find strictly on form and having left his rider in the stalls in two of previous three outings, he isn't one to be weighing in behind at the moment.
Has shown some glimpses of ability in eight runs and wasn't disgraced last month in a mile handicap at Leopardstown, didn't run quite as well since at Curragh over shorter trip but could be more suited in the likely ground now over the mile again.
Below form at the Curragh a week ago (7f, good to firm) gives him a bit to find with some of these rivals currently.
Hasn't done a lot in maidens so far, gets first-time tongue strap added for this handicap debut and there could well be more in the offing.
Is rated 6lb higher than when scooping Listowel handicap (7f, heavy) in September. Does have 200-day absence to overcome but should enjoy the likely ground.
Hit form again towards the end of last year, may have needed reappearance at Dundalk and ran a fine race recently at Navan over 6f despite a poor draw when beaten just 1½L in sixth of 21. Drops 1lb and looks competitive in this field.
6½L behind Fastidious on the AW at Dundalk this month over this trip, work to do in overturning that and hasn't won on turf since 2014.

Previous C&D winner FASTIDIOUS was in fine fettle on the AW at Dundalk last time out and while raised in the weights for that effort, he's got a claim on his back that gives him a decent chance of following up. Not A Bad Oul Day comes here in pursuit of a hat-trick and his Ayr success last time certainly didn't suggest he is done yet. Waitaki ran a nice handicap debut at Cork and may be able to build on it while handicap debutant County Show and Enough Is Enough, who loves it here, are others to note.
- Fastidious
- Not A Bad Oul Day
- County Show
