Has won over C&D and although he was below par in his two subsequent starts, one coming over C&D. Capitalised on a falling mark when he won and only 1lb above that mark now returning from a break.

Out sorts for much of last year leaving Gary Moore after the third start and has shown little for this yard so far and his attitude remains under suspicion.

Makes his handicap debut here after three modest runs in maidens all over 6f. Has a long break from the track to cope with and not the most obvious handicap debutante.

Only win came around this course just over a year ago (7f) but the best you can say since then is that she has been consistent. Below the winning mark now to the tune of 1lb and handles this track.

Had been in a good run of form but despite her consistency she still hasn't won and spoilt her chance with a slow start last time and failed to threaten.

Still a maiden after 21 Flat starts and despite a respectable run last time out far more is needed for him to figure.

Forecasts

Kafeel (11/4), World Record (3/1), Ettie Hart (7/2), Sheer Intensity (4/1), Golden Isles (4/1), Freddy With A Y (7/1), Machiavelian Storm (10/1), Blackthorn Stick (10/1), Thatsthewaytodoit (12/1), Alketios (14/1), Zebedee's Son (22/1), Piccola Poppy (25/1), Max Beddow (40/1)

Verdict

The first division of a divided 0-60 handicap hardly cries out as a strong betting vehicle although there are one or two who could appeal. Kafeel failed to land a gamble last time out and is now visored for the first time and given his connections he could well take a hand again as could World Record returning from a break and off a decent mark. Several of these have had plenty of chances and it could well pay to take a chance with THATSTHEWAYTODOIT who should be far better suited by this trip after shaping well over further last time out.
