Failed to make it to the course for Mark Johnston but winning start for this trainer in a bumper here last month, winner's penalty to defy but could have more to offer.

Has struggled greatly in a couple of bumper runs thus far, big ask to come forward enough to take a hand in this.

Gio Ponti gelding comes to the racecourse for the first time, representing respected yard and with promising apprentice booked. Needs a market check to guide hopes.
Half-brother to four winners including French winning chaser Omelia. Yard have a poor record bumpers and are 0-48 overall in the last 12 months.

Getaway gelding in familiar colours and is closely related to former Champion Hurdler Jezki, though will need to come forward for last month 11½L beating in similar contest at this venue.
Galileo gelding has no want for winners in his extended family, finished third at Down Royal on debut recently and has scope for better.
Arakan gelding represents a small yard and may be seen to better effect for the run while breeding suggests he'll be better over obstacles.
Galileo gelding is a half-brother to useful 6f winner Sailors Swan and has got to be respected in these colours on debut, worth market check.

€10,000 3yo Ask gelding has plenty stamina in his breeding, may be seen better over longer trip. Wears hood on debut.
Was beaten 8¾L in finishing 11th of 23 in a bumper here last month on good to yielding, represents yard with excellent form and could well improve on that run now.
Vocalised filly represents trainer that has saddles just one previous bumper runner (no luck) and doesn't make great appeal for this debut run.
Scorpion filly is a half-sister to bumper winner/fairly useful hurdler (2m winner) Paolozzi. This isn't an easy starting point.

Forecasts

Los Alamos (15/8), Vocarium (2/1), Scheu Time (5/1), Texie Rexie (6/1), Jetez (7/1), Social Treasure (14/1), Courtois (14/1), Maple Lawn (25/1), Penneys Hun (33/1), Scorpy Lady (33/1), Sole Owner (50/1), Dark Du Tabert Aa (50/1), Other Voices (66/1), Alfred Eile (66/1)

Verdict

Jetez was fancied on debut here last month and ran a fair sort of race. He is likely to have learned from the experience and should improve on his work now. Los Alamos made a pleasing start at Down Royal when hitting the frame and is another likely to come forward in this while the newcomers Courtois and Social Treasure are very much worth paying attention to in the betting. Texie Rexie has scope for better after a fair debut but this might go the way of VOCARUIM. He made a good start to win here last time, taking his time to get the hang of things but eventually winning well. He'll have learned from that and may defy the penalty with the champion amateur booked to ride.
