Off the mark on second run, winning over this C&D in good style having made most of the running. Son of Scat Daddy is entitled to improve again for the run and looks a leading player.

Winner over this trip at Nottingham 29 days ago on good to firm ground, that was an impressive debut and it is intriguing that leading British trainer has targeted this pot.

Son of Zoffany scored in a maiden over this C&D 42 days ago, was all out to hold on there and will require a chunk of improvement to maintain winning ways in this field.

Holy Roman Emperor colt won 5f Dundalk AW contest, beating Dali by ½L. Should be more to offer and has to be considered for this now switching to turf.

Good debut over C&D (soft to heavy) in March when third, beaten 3L, of 11 runners. Upped in trip next time at the Curragh (good) to 6f and didn't really build on that. Plenty to find in amongst these.

Wootton Bassett filly changed hands for €60,000 at the sales, she made an excellent impression when taking Cork maiden over this trip (good to firm) earlier in the month and should build on it in what is clearly a tougher race.

Choisir filly was just held on debut over 5f on AW at Dundalk but has won both starts there since impressively. Ought to be more to come and is to be respected now switching to turf.

Forecasts

Dali (7/4), Simmy's Copshop (3/1), Mamba Noire (4/1), True Blue Moon (8/1), T For Tango (8/1), Sirici (14/1), Verhoyen (20/1)

Verdict

A fairly trappy contest, with six of the seven juveniles having won last time out and three boasting unbeaten records. Dali improved him his debut run to score nicely over C&D last time and must be respected for these connections with more progress likely. True Blue Moon beat him on debut and should also be capable of more on second start. Sirici has impressed in three AW runs, winning twice, while Mamba Noire looked good visually in opening her account first time at Cork. A chance is taken with the British raider SIMMY'S COPSHOP, who won well at Nottingham on debut. It's interesting that his trainer has chosen this race and the horse that chased him home on debut has since sluiced up at Ayr, so he may prove able for this.
  1. Simmy's Copshop
  2. Dali
  3. True Blue Moon
