Makes his handicap debut after three runs in maidens the best of which came at Redcar last time over 7f. Steps up to a mile for the first time although probably needs to settle a little better having raced freely last time out and likely to encounter softer ground for the first time.
Showed improved form to win at Chelmsford on his last start (ridden close to pace) off a mark of 67 and reverts to turf here (only one previous run on the surface on debut). Looks as though this trip and further will suit and could yet have more improvement left in him off a 5lb higher mark.
One run one win is his record so far having made all around Musselburgh over 7f last September as a juvenile and looked as though he'll be suited by this mile and further. Form of his win is only modest though and has not been franked and stable are punching below their weight with winners on their maiden debut who then step into handicaps.
Just had a couple of runs for this yard (formerly with Willie Musson) and caught the eye on his first run for this yard over 7f at Salisbury. Failed to improve on his handicap debut over 1m1f (mark unchanged here) but still looks to have some potential although that may come over further.
Best run so far came on her debut although she had excuses on her second start (ridden too aggressively/failed to settle) at York. Again ran very freely on her last run as a juvenile but handicaps look to increase her options this year and she makes her debut in them here stepping up in trip.
One of the more experienced runners in the field and may well be more of a finished article this year (been gelded over the winter). Turned in his best run last time at Beverley over short of a mile and could do with a strong gallop to be seen at his best.
Looks to have one outstanding piece of form on his only outing on turf at Sandown (may have been flattered) and didn't quite live up to that on his two subsequent AW outings. Has travelled well in some of his races but hasn't seen his races out over a mile.
Progressed as a juvenile and may well have run into a useful sort on his last maiden start as a two-year-old at Wolverhampton over 7f. His handicap debut on the AW showed that he had progressed over the winter but that wasn't a strong event although at the weights he may well get closer to Paddy A who won his last race.
Stable have been in good form of late although this one will need to improve on his handicap debut after three maiden runs. Has hinted that handicaps may be more his bag and the visor worn last time out is retained here.
Maiden form showed some potential with progression being made on her three starts in that sphere and badly hampered on her last maiden start at Newcastle over a mile (would have fared better with a stronger gallop). Didn't necessarily improve on her maiden form on handicap debut and lacked a turn of foot and may well be suited by further.
Winner of a seller back in February on the AW that form won't be good enough here and she looks outclassed here with her slow starts often handicapping her further.

Forecasts
Dance Teacher (11/4), Paddy A (5/1), Scots Piper (15/2), Broughtons Knight (8/1), Keepup Kevin (10/1), Petit Filous (11/1), Wonder Of Dubai (12/1), Golden Guest (12/1), Eburaci (12/1), Flood Defence (16/1), Socrates (16/1), Pulsating (66/1)
A typically difficult three-year-old handicap with plenty of potential improvers in the field and it’s a difficult heat to unravel. Scots Piper won in very likeable fashion on his only start so far and his opening mark looks fair. Wonder Of Dubai looks capable of winning a race (yard in good form) but does need to settle better while Paddy A could have further improvement in him despite the 5lb higher mark. It won’t be a surprise to see Eburaci and Socrates improve on what they have done so far but in a complex heat the vote goes to DANCE TEACHER for who Gerald Mosse is an eye-catching jockey booking.
- Dance Teacher
- Scots Piper
- Paddy A
