Modest record in bumpers and over hurdles, makes switch to the Flat now and, unless there are market vibes to suggest otherwise, a watching brief seems the best option.

Almost refused to race on Windsor debut earlier this month, missing the kick by 20L. Back there last week, broke fast and led before fading late over 1m, up in trip now.

Was slowly out of the gates on debut at Kempton over 1m on AW debut in November and beaten 6L, reappears now on turf and up in trip. No shock if proving capable to better than that.
Nathaniel filly is nicely related to multiple winners and pedigree suggests this trip won't be a problem, could easily have a say in this contest on debut.
Medaglia D'oro filly represents powerful connections and breeding gives her claims to be involved in this on debut. Much respected.

Failed to cut much ice in pair of AW maidens at Dundalk over the mile for previous yard. Needs a good bit more to get involved on turf debut.

Wasn't far way on second start in mile maiden at Kempton on the AW in November having gone off 25/1. Could have more to offer this season and is from respected yard.

Has decent pedigree but only shown limited appear in couple of recent maidens on turf over 7f at Newbury and Goodwood, up in trip and not one to be judged too hastily.

Dansili filly was somewhat green on stable debut (second start) at Newmarket last month. Needs to progress from that but could have scope to do so.

Forecasts

Ouja (11/4), Fleur Forsyte (3/1), Lupin (3/1), Star Of Doha (9/2), Lightening Dance (11/2), Trilliant (11/2), Tenby Two (12/1), Donna Finchella (33/1), Performance Art (40/1), Shanandoa (66/1)

Verdict

A daughter of Sea The Stars, Ouja was heavily backed for her Doncaster debut in the autumn but ran a disappointing race. It won't be any surprise if she quickly leaves that form behind this season. Debutant Lupin has got to be respected given connections while another newcomer, Lightening Dance, is also worth paying attention to in the betting. STAR OF DOHA ran a promising race at Kempton on the AW over a mile when last spotted and, with the experience in hand, she could have plenty more to offer this term and is given a chance in this field.
  1. Star Of Doha
  2. Ouja
  3. Lupin
