Canford Cliffs filly, cost 60,000 gns as a foal and 180,000 gns as a yearling. On the right side at Newmarket on debut but proved that was no fluke with a fair effort at Wolverhampton earlier in the month. Beaten favourite that day but still more to come and she's a speedy type.
Invincible Spirit filly, cost 130,000 gns as a foal. Dam was an unraced sister to Group 3 winner Farraaj and trainer well capable of readying one for a debut. Interesting debutante.
Elusive Quality filly, dam placed in a French Listed contest out of a half-sister to a Group 3 winner and Irish 2,000 Guineas runner-up France. Trainer been in good form recently and eye-catching jockey booking.

Sepoy filly, cost 82,000 gns as a foal and 200,000 gns as a yearling. Beaten favourite on both her starts to date and not many excuses last time. Still early days and represents top yard but has a bit to prove at present.

Excelebration filly, 50,000 gns as a foal and 18,000 gns as a yearling. Dam an unraced half-sister to Group 1 winner Moon Ballad out of a half sister to Group 1 winner Central Park. Likely to want further than this to be seen at his best but far from ruled out. Wears a hood for debut.

Forecasts

Jalela (5/4), Lightning Mark (9/4), Shaaqaaf (9/2), Voi (8/1), Quinquereme (10/1), Dr Goodhead (20/1), Velvet Charm (25/1), Deciding Vote (25/1), Denver Spirit (40/1)

Verdict

LIGHTNING MARK and Quinquereme look the most interesting debutantes with the former narrowly preferred for a yard in fine form and makes plenty of appeal on paper. Experience may help Jalela in this contest but looks vulnerable to anything above average.
  1. Lightning Mark
  2. Quinquereme
  3. Jalela
