New Approach colt, cost 375,000 gns a yearling and still holds a Derby entry. Showed plenty of promise on debut last month after racing a little green early on and will have learnt plenty from that; looks sure to relish the extra stamina test here.

Has run well on all three of his starts to date without managing to get his head in front. Went off odds-on last time after a promising effort at Doncaster, finishing third of 16 and may have got closer than a length to the winner on most recent start if the rider hadn't dropped his whip at a crucial point in proceedings. Just about sets the standard for others to aim at here and this trainer is in flying form. Yard won this last year.

Only narrowly beaten on his seasonal reappearance at Brighton but form of that race has taken a couple of knocks since. Looks a little vulnerable now against some useful looking sorts.

Frankel colt, half-brother to five winners. Disappointed on debut when he finished an unplaced favourite but there's no doubt he'll prove better than that at some stage but probably best watched for now.

Ran to a fair level on debut at Newcastle in November when finishing a close up third and the winner and runner-up have both come out and franked the form by winning since. Improved to finish runner-up last time out and should go well.

Beaten favourite on debut at Sandown when fourth of six but not beaten far and may have won if he had settled better in the early stages. Returns from an absence here and while yard are in flying form, he may need this effort.
