Winner of five in a row over fences / on Flat, comes back after 293 days off and faces a stern test on handicap chase debut.
Very poor in pair of handicap chase starts last season, returns from 136-day break now and may find this ground / shorter trip more to his liking.
Has been raised 7lb for creditable sixth of 13 in handicap chase at this C&D (good to soft) 20 days ago. Has won here before and trainer in good form with excellent rider on board.
Is just 3lb higher for excellent effort over C&D last month behind Don't Touch It and should prove a big threat in this, second runner for trainer.
Hasn't been in great form this season, was well beaten last month over C&D and from just a 1lb lower mark is probably still held by the handicapper.
Decent showing over 2m1f at Leopardstown in January when last seen, is up just 1lb for that run and must be considered a contender on first outing since.
Returned to form with a super effort over C&D last month finishing clear of some of these rivals in second spot behind Don't Touch It, 3lb rise looks fair and chance now if in the same mood.
Just one win for Tom Taaffe, but made perfect start for new yard at Clonmel (2m, heavy) in March winning novice chase easily and defying a lengthy absence in the process. Should build on that, but quicker ground a concern, and often let down by jumping for previous connections.
Solid effort in finishing seventh of 17 over 2m5f around here last time out off a career-high mark, gets 1lb back now.

Third Opinion defied a long absence to win at Clonmel in March, jumping well and making light work of his task. He's a danger here though decent ground might be some concern. Caolaneoin ran a superb race over C&D last month and merits respect on that evidence, though there are no assurances he'll repeat it so instead the vote is held by NEVERRUSHACON, who wasn't far behind then and appeals as a more reliable performer to repeat the trick. Handicap debutant Xsquared and Killiney Court are also considered.
