Finally got off the mark over fences at Plumpton on his penultimate start despite running in snatches. Rather predictably failed to follow that up last time out at the same venue and it shows what a poor contest this is with him off top weight.
Comes back from a break having been well below for last time out at Lingfield. Not really shown much for the past two seasons and prone to mistakes and will find these fences a challenge.
Had very much started to go the wrong way over hurdles but has looked much better switched to fences on his last two starts. Off the mark in that sphere last time out at Exeter travelling well and forging clear for the win. Only raised 4lb for that win and should make another bold bid here.
Still sliding down the weights but failing to take advantage and his record remains a disappointing one. Typically he fails to settle and that leaves him vulnerable at the end of his races.
Looks well treated on his form of a couple of years ago and took advantage of the fall in the handicap to win at Newton Abbot last time. Only raided 2lb for that effort and still potentially well treated but not the most straightforward and just as likely to regress again as go forward.
Until recently had looked rather hard to win with over fences but was suited by the run of the race to get off the mark at Exeter. Failed to follow-up that win last time over the same C&D but did run into an improving sort who had won his previous race and was a subsequent winner. Not one to totally rely on but does look a little more reliable of late.
His mark continues to fall but there appears to be very little sign of him taking advantage of that drop in the weights and offered very little threat last time.
There appears little to get excited about in his two chasing runs so far where he wasn't particularly fluent last time. Even against this modest bunch he faces a tough task.
Forecasts
Seven Kingdoms (11/4), Minella Forfitness (9/2), Triple Chief (5/1), Moorlands Jack (11/2), Get Back To Me (6/1), Flashman (8/1), Iona Days (14/1), Morgan's Bay (40/1)
Some questionable and out of form types go to post here which you would expect to see around Plumpton rather than Kempton Park. Some of these are falling in the weights but show very little sign of taking advantage and it looks to offer a good opportunity for SEVEN KINGDOMS to follow up his Exeter romp. There are very few other solid options in the race although Moorlands Jack may be capable of piecing together back-to-back runs off a favourable mark with Triple Chief another of similar ilk.
- Seven Kingdoms
- Moorlands Jack
- Triple Chief
