Horse A-Z
Daughter of a French maiden hurdler, she represents an upwardly-mobile stable.

Middle-distance Flat pedigree. The market will be the best pointer to his chance.

Seventh of 23 at Punchestown on his debut last month and there should be more to come.
Dam did not pull up any trees in bumpers and maiden hurdles. Best watched on debut.
Has shown promise in seven bumpers without getting his head in front. Blinkered for the first time in a bid to end the drought.
Half-brother to a number of winners and is worth a check in the betting.
By a French NH sire out of a Pasternak mare, this debutant represents respected connections.
Has shown little in two bumpers and needs to find improvement.
Shaped well on his only start in a Down Royal bumper and is in the mix granted normal progress.

Well beaten on his Punchestown debut and may need more time to mature.
13
Horse silk
66/1
Last of 23 on his debut at Punchestown and cannot be fancied on that evidence.

Horse silk
4/1
Unlucky when hampered last time, he had previously been touched off at Limerick. Appeals on form for his leading stable.
Represents respected connections and any support for him could be significant.
Stable respected in this sphere so watch the market for clues.
Had a troubled passage when sixth of 12 at Punchestown last month. Stable continues in flying form and this filly could maintain that run.
A relative of useful NH performers African Gold and Follow The Bear, he would be worth considering if getting a run.

Verdict

With so many newcomers taking part, the market is likely to prove the best guide but, of those to have run, THE PRINCETONIAN appeals as the most likely winner given she would have finished a lot closer on her debut had she not been hampered. Stooshie is an obvious rival given his form and connections, while stable companions Mischievous Max and Cornelius Sulla are worthy of respect.
  1. The Princetonian
  2. Stooshie
  3. Mischievious Max
