Beat just three of 15 rivals home in mile maiden at Limerick on debut three weeks ago, has to improve on that showing to get involved in the finish over longer trip.

Unable to pose any sort of threat in autumn maidens at Fairyhouse (7f) and Navan (1m2f) and has to have developed significantly over the winter if hoping for better here.

Beaten 21L at Leopardstown earlier in the week over this trip on debut, chance he'll improve now with cheekpieces added.

Showed some promise in a mile maiden on the AW at Dundalk in December, not getting a hard time once beaten. Could do better now on second start over longer trip.

A €50,000 yearling this Nathaniel gelding is making first start on the track and is best watched in the market for yard with modest strike rate.
A gelding out of Sea The Stars, he made just €50,000 at the sales and was sent off at 33/1 on debut Navan 19 days ago over this trip. Defied those odds and finished fast to be a neck runner-up in 14-runner contest. Gives him strong claims in this with expected improvement to come.
Vocalised colt is related to multiple winners, represents powerful trainer/jockey combination and no surprise if there is money around for him on debut.

Good effort in a mile maiden at Navan recently on first turf start and seasonal bow, doing best work at the finish. Upped in distance there could be more to come with trainer going well.

Vision D'etat gelding cost €21,000 as 2yo, owner-trainer doesn't tend to have a lot of runners on that Flat though he did have a 15 per-cent strike rate last season a market check is in order here.

Highly-interesting newcomer, this colt out of Japanese star Deep Impact has some lofty entries including the Dante and the Derby. Represents top connections and is very much one to watch.
Has run well enough in a couple of Leopardstown maidens either side of winter break to merit consideration, goes beyond the mile for the first time and trainer is in fine form.

Forecasts

Night Of Glory (7/4), Wisconsin (7/4), World Tax War (7/2), Nightly Wailing (12/1), Thunder Crash (14/1), Gealach Ghorm (25/1), Vision D'Ete (33/1), Bold Knight (40/1), Mastermind (40/1), Baile Ghilibert (66/1), Handsome Maverick (100/1)

Verdict

A gelded son of Sea The Stars, NIGHT OF GLORY was friendless in the betting for his recent Navan debut but he rattled home fast and was just denied victory, over this longer trip and with the benefit of that run behind him, he's sure to be much more popular now and may get off the mark. The newcomer Wisconsin is an obvious danger, given that he is regally bred and represents powerful connections and a trainer already on top of his game this season. Thunder Crash and World Tax War should build on their efforts to date while Nightly Wailing is also to be noted on his debut.
  1. Night Of Glory
  2. Wisconsin
  3. Nightly Wailing
