Three wins from eight starts and usually gives his running. Best efforts have come when held up and his third placed effort at Newcastle last time was a fair effort. Should be more to come from this sort of mark.
Won a big-field handicap at York last May but struggled twice from this mark subsequently and had an interrupted career in recent times. May need this after another absence but trainer and jockey did win this last year.
Only seen out twice last year but bounced back to form with an emphatic victory at Yarmouth last time and there could be more to come this season, particularly over this sort of trip. 7lb rise perhaps on the lenient side and no surprise to see him go in again.
Progressive last season with his best effort coming over C&D in September. Got the run of the race to some extent that day and not been in quite the same form since. Others look on better handicap marks but trainer does have a 21.05% strike-rate around here (4-19) and the yard won this in 2012.
Interrupted career in recent times and only saw the racecourse twice last year, well beaten on both occasions. There wasn't enough encouragement on his comeback run at Salisbury last month to suggest he's back to his best just yet but it is still early days and his jockey takes a useful 7lb off.
One win from nine starts and well beaten in a bid to make all at Newbury last time. Should come on for that effort but there's a suspicion this trip stretches him a little and the wide draw isn't ideal.
Won a Wolverhampton maiden with ease on second start but disappointed in a small field Class 3 contest on his follow up bid a year ago and not seen since. Gelded in the interim and yard have hit form in recent weeks but he is probably best watched on return to action.

LORD GEORGE is a consistent sort and there should be more to come this year. There was plenty to like about his third placed effort at Newcastle on return and he gets the services of the talented young apprentice George Wood here, well worth his 5lb claim. William Knight is double handed and Jacob Cats has been in the form of his life in recent times and he could be the trainer's best chance of a winner. Mohatem looks the main danger to the selection after his easy win at Yarmouth last time.
