Hit and miss character who has been largely disappointing since missing all of the 2015 season. Ended last season well beaten in a Listed contest at Lingfield but did bag a Listed race at Windsor earlier in the season. Appears to have had plenty of issues and probably best watched on his seasonal reappearance.
Bounced back to form last time at Newcastle last time with a fair second but raised 4lb for that and best efforts have come over further than this. Has won at this course but probably needs to improve to take this and wouldn't want any rain to arrive.
C&D winner who has been a little below form of late and finished last of six at Hamilton on Sunday. Not scored off a mark this high since 2015 though and others look better handicapped.
Listed winner in Leopardstown back in 2014 but clearly had his issues since then and only seen at the racecourse again twice prior to 2017. Has made an underwhelming start for this yard, well beaten on all four starts, three over hurdles and one on the Flat at Wolverhampton and would probably prefer softer conditions than what he's likely to get here.
Narrowly denied on debut but made amends with two wins since. Appreciated the step up in trip last time at Doncaster when beating a smart Luca Cumani horse who has won since. 6lb rise for that probably on the lenient side and rates the type to do better this year, particularly if he's learnt to settle better. Trainer more than capable of readying one off an absence and plenty to like about his chances against an exposed bunch.
Progressive last year and started this season in good form with a win at Epsom last time out. This course not sure to suit his hold up style and can miss the break on occasions but almost certainly more to come so not dismissed.
Inconsistent type who scored on return to action at Thirsk two starts back but typically failed to back that up at Ripon last time. Has won around here from a higher mark so not discounted but all recent wins have come over further than this and he's not one to rely upon.

Khairaat (10/11), Brorocco (4/1), Berkshire (7/1), Mistiroc (11/1), Sennockian Star (12/1), Sagely (14/1), Gabrial's King (20/1), Parish Boy (40/1)
KHAIRAAT can make it three wins from four starts on his return to action in what looks like a weak race for the grade. Brorocco won well last time but missing the break has become a trait in recent times and he won't get away with such antics around here. Mistiroc probably doesn't have much scope from a handicapping perspective but he's a consistent sort who should go well.
