Sole hurdles win came when causing a shock at 50/1 for Ann Duffield at Market Rasen on debut last July, but also twice a runner up for this trainer in four starts. Went down narrowly to Bollin Julie at Sedgefield latest (heavy), but races on vastly different ground tonight.
Turned out unpenalised at Perth recently for a narrow Market Rasen conditional jockeys handicap hurdle victory (2m2f good), but not quite strong enough on his first try at that longer trip (2m4f). 5lb higher here but in-form and respected.
Produced a slightly improved effort when third to Catamaran Du Seuil (beaten 25L) in a C&D novices hurdle in February (good to soft). Handicaps likely to be the making of this gelding, but an opening mark of 98 isn't overly generous, but any market support is worth noting.
Moderate placed form in Irish Point-to-Points, but seemingly regressing over hurdles. Tries handicap company for the first time from an opening mark of 86.
Has been with a few yards over the years, and last won for this trainer at Hexham in May 2016 (2m4f). Her handicap mark has fallen considerably since then, but that's largely because she's been bang out of form and was pulled up when last in action in November 2016. Others preferred.
Always in command when seeing off the reliable yardstick Danceintothelight at Worcester in September 2016, this mare has been lightly raced overall, and off since November 2016. She returns 5lb higher than for that success on ground which should suit.
A Perth handicap hurdle twelve months apart has been the venue for two of her last three starts, so this mare has presumably had problems. She promises to strip fitter for that recent run and is dropped 3lb, but this ten race maiden isn't high on the shortlist.

A conditional jockeys handicap hurdle, so the winner will escape a penalty and that won't have gone unnoticed by the shrewder connections. Phil Kirby has already landed a similar contest at Market Rasen with Arabian Oasis, but whilst much respected, he might have missed his chance at Perth recently and runs from a 5lb higher mark here. The handicapper has taken no chances with ONLYFOOLSOWNHORSES in allocating an opening mark of 98, but this gelding has been crying out for handicap company, and any market support could be rewarded in a relatively weak looking contest.
