Won here last time over 3m2f (good), but given that he had preceded that with a 2m4f point-to-point win, this drop in trip won't be an issue and he has claims again purely on the basis that he is in such cracking form at present.

Placed in four of his nine point-to-points and yet to make the frame under rules, his trainer tries him in a tongue tie for the first time here, but on what we have seen that will need to have a significant effect if he is to take a hand.

Runner-up in three successive point-to-points before winning one last month. Conditions and trip not a problem for him and a market check is advised on his first rules start for three years.

Has won a couple of point-to-points on good ground but was 28L adrift of Havana Jack here last time and it is hard to see a sudden reversal of that form today.

Has won all four of his point-to-points and finished runner-up in two of his three runs in this company, falling early on in the Aintree Foxhunters last time. Officially rated the best of this lot and a clear round will make him very tough to beat.

Failed to make an impact over hurdles a few seasons ago and his only races under rules since 2014 saw him pulled up in one of these contests at Ludlow in February. Has won a few point-to-points over that period, however, and if completing here then he has enough ability to get reasonably competitive.

Has won just two of his 21 point-to-points and never better than third in 18 rules races. Out of form in 2017 to boot and impossible to recommend him.

Pulled up in all seven point-to-point starts and has since changed hands. May be able to show more now and a completion for the first time would be a nice way to start.
