Put behind him a losing run dating back to 2014 when scoring here over 2m2f (good) last month and has gone up 7lb for that 6L success. Given that he has largely raced beyond that trip in recent times there is some concern that today's minimum trip may be too sharp.
Plenty of miles on the clock for this veteran of 91 starts, though recorded wins numbered 14 and 15 last season, both over this trip at Ayr and on heavy ground. Well beaten from this mark last time by Sudski Star and looks up against it.
Has only been seen out five times since his sole win in a Clonmel maiden hurdle over two years ago and has not shown much in the way of encouragement in that period. Looks best watched today.
Came good for the only time in his 14 hurdle starts at Musselburgh in November (1m7½f, good). That was from just 1lb lower than today and although he has been well beaten since, those races were better than this and he should be heavily involved again here.
Placed four times but yet to win from nine starts over hurdles. His Musselburgh run in January was his best since joining this yard and if able to reproduce that he would have a squeak, though has a bit to prove judged on his last two runs.

Forecasts
Sudski Star (1/1), Weapon Of Choice (7/2), Final Countdown (7/2), Deepsand (9/2), Suprise Vendor (8/1), Lough Kent (10/1), Knockrea (33/1)
Doubts about all of these in one way or another, but the suggestion is WEAPON OF CHOICE now that he drops back to this class and to the sort of mark that we know he can handle. Sudski Star won well here last time, but a 7lb rise will make this tough enough over a trip that may just be on the short side, while Final Countdown may prove best of the rest.
