Filly has rather lost her way of late, having looked progressive on this surface over the winter. Latest effort over 2m1f at Clonmel was poor last week and needs to rediscover appetite for this AW return. Closely matched with stablemate on C&D form.
Finished ahead of War Goddess at Clonmel last time, is rated 6lb higher than when scoring over this C&D in March. Potentially has more to offer on this surface over this sort of trip and not one to write off yet.
Blinkers go back on now but given recent efforts at 1m4f, this extra test of stamina ranks as something of a concern and so looks best watched at the moment.
Dual purpose mare was not beaten far off a 1lb lower rating over C&D a year ago, though she's been in poor form across both codes since and makes first appearance since December now with cheekpieces back on over longer trip.
Solid effort on previous Flat run at Tipperary over 1m4f in early April, best to forget hurdles outing since. First appearance at this track but an interesting contender upped to 2m and one to keep an eye on in the betting.
One win in 25 starts and not shown much zest in two recent efforts on the AW. Sole success came in January 2016 over 1m4f at this venue but nothing recently to get excited about.
Missed out on course hat-trick 19 days ago when dropped back to 1m4f, remains lightly-raced and despite career-high mark there's every chance that further improvement will be forthcoming over this trip.
Was no match for Repare Mon over C&D last month, has since run poorly in valuable handicap hurdle. Back on this surface and with the best part of a stone in pull at the weights with old foe Repare Mon, is entitled to go well in a contest he won 12 months ago.
Posted a solid effort to win over 1m5f at Navan last time, with the runner-up having come out and won since, needs to transfer that form to this surface and is rated 4lb higher for this longer trip.
Switches to this discipline having been jumping fences of late, could be competitive on old Flat form though never tended to win many (1/26 on Flat/AW).
Broke quickly and led C&D last month before being pulled up after 4f, previous run over 1m4f had been promising. Something clearly amiss last time so judgement is reserved for now.
Hasn't run since July 2015, previous form gives this maiden a good deal to find if hoping to score on Polytrack debut.
Never a danger in two recent turf runs (1m5f - 2m1f). Is 3lb lower than when hitting the frame over C&D a year ago behind My Manekineko but returning blinkers will need to spark something to see him run to that form even.
Without a win in 31 attempts under rules, has been toiling over jumps lately and hard to build any case on previous Flat form. Cheekpieces back on but in need of upcoming relief from the handicapper.
Forecasts
Repare Mon (4/1), Pirolo (4/1), Mydor (7/1), War Goddess (15/2), Tommy Welsh (8/1), My Manekineko (9/1), Colla Pier (10/1), Meadow Cross (10/1), Rubenesque (12/1), Sea Bank (16/1), Lex Talionis (22/1), Little Stampy (50/1), Batchelors Walk (50/1), Timanora (66/1)
REPARE MON was unable to bring up the hat-trick on the track last time when dropped to 1m4f, but he had previously looked a progressive sort over this C&D and can resume winning ways now despite facing a stern test of his credentials on these terms. Mydor is very much one to note in the betting and may go well if adapting to this surface while last year's winner My Manekineko is also respected back on the level and on much improved terms with the selection following a recent C&D defeat. The form of Pirolo's Navan win has already worked out very nicely while Tommy Welsh could offer more back here on the Polytrack.
- Repare Mon
- Pirolo
- Mydor
