First run for this yard, needs to show a major improvement on anything that has gone before in seven starts if she's going to be competitive on first start for 987 days.

Returned from a break with best effort to date over this C&D last month, beaten just 1L having contested lead for much of the journey. Should be capable of building on that.

Ran some excellent races in defeats in maidens last year over longer trip, returns to action now tackling 5f for the first time with cheekpieces added and is the one to beat on form.

Shamardal filly makes racecourse debut here for trainer and jockey in fine form of late, just a concern that this trip might catch her out for pace.
Well beaten in two starts last month, latest over this trip at Cork when never really recovering from a slow start. Needs significant improvement in all probability and best watched for now.

Only 13th of 16 on her debut at the Curragh in August and been off since. Cannot be fancied on the evidence of that run.

Forecasts

Ice Canyon (4/5), Fasuba (9/4), Beaming (5/1), Rosa Klebb (14/1), Elegant Emmeline (100/1), Back To Focus (100/1)

Verdict

Ice Canyon boasts the best form and is experienced but this drop back to 5f is an unknown factor and on seasonal reappearance there are concerns it might just catch him out. He has fair claims however and his trainer is in decent form. FASUBA returned to action with an improved showing over this C&D last month and, if building on that, may well get off the mark this time on just a second start for this yard. The debutant Beaming is respected behind the likely market principles with Elegant Emmeline perhaps ahead of the remainder.
  1. Fasuba
  2. Ice Canyon
  3. Beaming
