Good staying handicapper on the Flat for Ralph Beckett, last win coming over 1m6f at Salisbury back in 2015. Had gone off the boil a little when last seen but change of code and scenery may revitalise him. Half-brother a hurdles winner and an interesting contender here.
Looked good when winning a couple of bumpers last year but a little disappointing in subsequent starts, and was easily put in his place by Any Drama last time out. Better ground here may help the situation but a little to prove now.
Didn't show a lot in two bumper starts but much better on hurdles debut last time out, finishing a solid enough second to an easy )and long odds-on) winner here in April. Needs more, but improvement likely and may get in the money.
Was a fairly distant fifth to the fast-improving Lalor at Wincanton in March, not a bad effort but it came on heavy ground. Third of three here on hurdles debut but not beaten far and should win a race, although this may be a little too tough at this stage.
Won a couple of low-level staying handicaps on the Flat for Michael Dods, and conditions today fine. Good effort on hurdles debut when third at Stratford and should improve, but may be one for handicaps down the line. Nevertheless, may get in the money here.
Was improving pretty rapidly for Sylvester Kirk when last seen out on the Flat, winning three on the trot at Wolverhampton, and although that form only modest, has joined a good yard and will be an interesting recruit for summer jumping. May need this and best watched unless strong in market.

Brahms De Clermont (4/9), Air Squadron (5/1), Protest (8/1), Oscars Boss (8/1), Dusky Raider (10/1), Le Drapeau (16/1), Buck's Lad (33/1), Dont Even Go There (66/1)
Brahms De Clermont is the one to beat on form but he's just been a little disappointing, and it might be worth giving AIR SQUADRON a go on his hurdles debut. The fact he's a half-brother to the wining hurdler Countess Comet gives some hope he might take to the game, and if he does, he's capable of shaking the Nicholls inmate up. Protest might be one for handicaps later in the summer, and a market move here would make him worth a look. Dusky Raider and Buck's Lad can both challenge for the minors.
