Form in maidens and a handicap can only be described as modest at best and this ex-Godolphin inmate has plenty to find here.
Makes his first start on the Flat here having looked to have stamina issues in three bumpers when not unfancied so far.
Runner-up in three of his four bumpers and appeared well suited by being positively ridden in the last of them. Made little impression in an AW 1m2f maiden though last time out though and hard to know what expect here dropped in trip.
Mount Nelson filly who makes her debut here. Her dam won from 5f to 1m6f so stamina should not be an issue although inexperience might.
The second of two unraced ones from this yard and looks very stoutly bred and could well need further than this 1m2f. Yard not known for winning with debutantes and a watching brief is advised here.
From a yard who do well with their Scottish raids (owner is based in Scotland) although this one was very green well beaten in a mile maiden at Navan recently.
Looked to show definite improvement on his third start in maidens when stepped up to 1m4f (form may not be that solid). Did though confirm the promise shown in that run when making her turf/handicap debut only going down narrowly after a good battle and of interest again here.
Improvement looks to have stalled now after showing up well on her first two starts both on the AW over a mile. Both starts since then one over further and one her first try on turf have failed to convince and others are preferred here.

The usual mixed bag in a race of this nature with some newcomers along with a few from bumpers and a couple that look ahead of the field in terms of experience and the ability to progress. It’s hard to see any of those from bumpers or the new comers being good enough although with the Karl Burke stable having won this last year his debutante Born To Be Alive is respected. Fiendish representing Mark Johnston has not progressed as well as looked likely but she is well entered up in handicaps over the next few days after this. Sketch Book Venue impressed on her debut at Redcar and will know more this time around but the extra experience of ARCHIBELLE just edges the vote here.
