Has taken well to this surface with his one poor run on it coming over 1m4f a trip that proved too far. The win here came in a claimer but he's also run well in a handicap on the Fibresand but disappointed back on turf here last time out at Pontefract.
Course regular who has won here 10 times (never won elsewhere) but has only been victorious over this trip once. Holding his form better than is often the case and has won of a mark this high.
In good form around the turn of the year winning three handicaps all over C&D under today's rider on his first three starts for this yard. The rise in the handicap for those wins gradually forced into a better grade to end his winning run and the handicapper does look in control now as he's been beaten off this mark on his last three starts.
The inside stall won't help his cause here although he is a C&D winner but that came back in 2015 off a lower mark. Last four starts on the AW have been moderate although he did show a little more last time out.
Not the most straightforward of sorts although he is a dual C&D winner with both wins coming off higher marks. He wears a visor for a reason though and he not the easiest to catch right.
Strong traveller who has run well twice on the Fibresand (runner-up both times) and has shaped well of late for a still in-form yard and likely to go well again here.
All his five wins have come on turf with his AW record reading 0/4 and he's yet to run on Fibresand. His last two runs both on the Tapeta at Wolverhampton have been respectable although he has looked like he is still working his way back to full fitness.
Two of his three runs around here have looked very interesting (well backed on both) and positively ridden both occasions. On his last start here he went off very hard and did well to stay on as well as he did. Ran below form back on turf last time out at Catterick over 7f and has never won over this far.
Runs from well out the handicap here but does have a good record on this surface mostly in a lower grade than this. Looked as though he needed the run last time out over 7f here but despite his good form here he is flying a little high even in this grade.

The return to Fibresand for Muqarred may well help him regain his form but there are couple of others that have form on this unique surface. Alpha Tauri can never be left out of the equation here although he can look a difficult ride. Shearian was in good form earlier in the year here but now seems to be in the grip of the handicapper and this may well give SWANSWAY a chance to win on this surface after his two runner-up efforts here.
