Generally consistent type who impressed with the style of a Musselburgh victory on Thursday when justifying short-priced favouritism. Escapes a penalty here and must be feared as a repeat of that performance would surely be enough in this field.
Relatively lightly-raced for his age and has yet to win a race, though has shaped with some promise in low-grade affairs. Interesting to see first-time blinkers applied and he could go well with a step down in trip sure to suit.
No win in nine attempts so far but is dropped another 2lb by the handicapper and would be thereabouts on the very best of her (fairly inconsistent) form. First run since September though, and will have to prove that she can overcome that lay-off.
Sole win so far in her career came on Wolverhampton's Tapeta in February in a relatively similar race to his in terms of quality and off the same mark. Should be a player on that basis and not disgraced at Catterick latest; interesting.
No win in 12 but ran one of the better races of her career when sent off at 100/1 over C&D last time out. Much lower in the weights for this (carried a penalty there) but has looked at her best on softer ground that forecast.
No win since August 2012 but has been off for two years in that time and as a result has only run two races since August 2014. Has shown little on those two runs back, but not unfeasible he could take a step forward here. A big one is what would be required though.
Has run seven races of little account so far, failing to place in any of them and is dropped only 1lb from when finish last of all at Musselburgh last time out. Looks to have little chance even in this lowly company.
Forecasts
Longroom (1/4), Teepee Time (8/1), Grecian King (12/1), Cheeni (16/1), Lowrie (22/1), Another Desperado (25/1), On The High Tops (66/1)
If he turns up in anything like the form he showed at Musselburgh last week then this is LONGROOM's for the taking. He impressed with the manner in which he won that day, when sent off a short-price and he escapes a penalty here. This looks a similar race on paper and he can probably afford to run even a little below that level as long as nothing shows an unexpected level of improvement. That seems unlikely but Teepee Time looks at least to be on a workable mark following a victory at Wolverhampton off the same rating in February, while Grecian King will appreciate the step down in trip and could improve for some first-time headgear.
- Longroom
- Grecian King
