Put in a fairly professional performance on debut to finish fifth (and closer than that winning margin might suggest) on debut at Pontefract last time out (5f, good to firm). Would need to come on for that run but it's not unusual for this yard's horses to come for the run, and the low draw will help.
Kodiac colt who cost ÂŁ5,000 as a yearling and goes for a trainer with a good record with his juveniles. Record of his dam's other runners is decidedly mixed, but a market move for him would be significant.
Only narrowly touched off on debut at Nottingham last time having been sent off favourite, and showed signs of his inexperience that day. Will have learnt from that race and showed he should be capable of winning a maiden of this nature on that occasion.
Finished last of all and behind Shay C (who was himself well-beaten) on debut at Doncaster recently, being beaten 13L having gone off 33/1. Another run of little account could be on the cards now.
Camacho colt who cost ÂŁ36,000 as a yearling and is a half-brother to fair juvenile Ravenhoe. Worth keeping an eye on on this racecourse debut.
Never figured on debut in a Doncaster maiden a couple of weeks ago, never showing the pace to get involved. Pedigree is nothing special and another minor showing is expected.
Not disgraced on debut at Ripon last time out (5f, good to firm), when running too green to seriously challenge. Ran in the manner of a filly who does have speed but may appreciate a furlong further in time (which is backed up by breeding), but she could still challenge here if taking a step forward.
Forecasts
Havana Grey (4/7), Collingham Park (4/1), Che Bella (8/1), Go Now Go Now (14/1), Sam James (16/1), Shay C (33/1), Lord Of The Glen (100/1)
A few of these shaped promisingly on their debut, none more so than HAVANA GREY. Confidence was clearly high in Karl Burke's colt before his appeared at Nottingham last time as he was sent off at just 5/4, and he showed some signs of inexperience to still finish a fine second to Richard Fahey prospect. They were clear of the field and with that run under his belt he looks like the one to beat, ahead of Collingham Park, who looked a more straightforward horse than most of these on his debut at Pontefract last time out. Go Now Go Now is feared most of the newcomers for some top connections.
