Looks to be the stronger of the trainer's pair on jockey bookings, so may be able to show a fair bit of improvement for his Newbury debut (1m, good to firm) last month. Dropped in trip here and can continue his education.

Just the one start last season, which he improved upon when returning at Nottingham last month. That still left plenty to work on and now dropped back in distance again. Perhaps one who will do better when handicapping.

Improved for his Kempton debut when tried at Wolverhampton next time over 1m½f and returns for his reappearance at a third different AW track, now dropped back in trip. Dam is a full-sister to a multiple 7f AW winner, so this may well suit and with yard going well a market check is advised.

Made a reasonable debut in November over 6f at Chelmsford, but perhaps race came too soon or surface did not suit as well when tried again just a week later over 7f at Southwell and unable to improve. Since gelded and changed yards and watching brief advised this time.

Failed to settle on debut when tried over 6f at Windsor 11 months ago. Since gelded and been given plenty of time before returning to action over slightly further. Stable in superb form at present and likely that he can make a significant impact this time around.
Improved plenty for his Chelmsford debut when runner-up over C&D last time, staying on well. Can continue that upward curve here and looks a very serious player.

Well beaten on both starts so far in maidens at Kempton (6f) and last time over C&D. Will need to find plenty to be winning this and it is more likely that handicaps will be her forte.
Half-sister to three winners over further (inc French 1m1f AW and 1m on turf). Dam also won from 1m-1m3f (inc. Listed). Yard does well with its 3yo AW runners so every chance that she can show up well on debut.

22L last of eight on her Windsor debut in September and left Richard Hannon for his former stable jockey since. Dam was a 6f winning half-sister to 7f 2yo Group One winner Wootton Bassett and three other winners from 5f to 7½f, so with a winter under her belt she may begin to show more today.

Produced similar efforts in two maidens and a Listed contest last season. Looks likely to need further than this to produce her best, but her level of form is such that if she is fit enough first time then she should be thereabouts.

Forecasts

Time's Arrow (8/11), Silent Echo (2/1), Vigee Le Brun (10/1), Nigh Or Never (16/1), Punkawallah (16/1), Know The Truth (20/1), Espresso Martini (33/1), Primadonia (50/1), Sattar (66/1), Joy (100/1)

Verdict

Sir Michael Stoute has probably found a good opportunity for TIME'S ARROW to get off the mark, while Silent Echo is likely to present a big danger to him. Know The Truth is an interesting newcomer and Vigee Le Brun is another likely to be make her presence felt.
  1. Time's Arrow
  2. Silent Echo
  3. Vigee Le Brun
