Strong traveller who is best suited by a decent pace which he should get here and he's been kept busy on the AW of late mainly over 1m4f. Took advantage of first-time blinkers and a falling mark to win on his penultimate start although not quite in the same form last time out (wide and free all the way round) better judged on his win and should still go well here.

It could well be that the surface was to blame for her poor run last time out and not every horse can act on the Southwell Fibresand. Did win at Wolverhampton the time before that when seen to best effect but has never been the most consistent type.

Shown better form of late on the AW and this longer trip may well suit him even better as he looks all about stamina or a test of stamina. Yard don't have many runners here and of interest if he takes turf and he gets real test here.

Scored on his first run for this yard when they were in much better form that they are now. Should be suited by this track as he likes to race prominently and still looks unexposed off this mark (won off 3lb lower) although the yard is rather quiet at the moment.

Certainly knows his way around here having won over C&D and also scored over a furlong shorter. That was all in the past though and he's not been showing much on the Flat of late.

Now goes handicapping after the three obligatory runs in maidens (has also had two runs in bumpers). Showed a little ability on his last maiden run (down in trip to 1m2f) but he is bred to stay well and off a lowly mark you wouldn't rule out a step forward here in his first handicap.

Spent most of his recent time over hurdles but did shape as though he was better for the run when back on the Flat at Wolverhampton last time out. Probably raced too close to a strong pace and could be marked as up for that fact (travelled well) but it wouldn't be the first time he has flattered to deceive.

Forecasts

Sebastian's Wish (2/1), Cosmic Tigress (11/2), The Detainee (11/2), Thorntoun Care (6/1), Jonny Delta (13/2), Ibreeq (13/2), Jebulani (25/1)

Verdict

The front-running Sebastian’s Wish would be of more interest if the Dalgleish yard was in better form at the moment although he could be suited by this track. Both The Detainee and Ibreeq should appreciate this test of stamina with the former a rare runner at the track for his yard. Cosmic Tigress would enter the equation on a going day but THORNTOUN CARE looks well handicapped still and this strong travelling type could well get the run of this.
  1. Thorntoun Care
  2. The Detainee
  3. Ibreeq
