Cost 12,000 guineas and is related to three winners including Finn Class. Unshipped his rider on his debut at Kempton when easy to back. Represents a yard with a 13-38 record here.
€55,000 purchase and related to two winners including Treat who was runner-up in a Group One. Daughter of Nathaniel so trip looks fine and rider 5-28 for the yard.
Full-sister to Yangtze and half-sister to Evangelist both of whom were middle distance winners for this stable. Easy to back on debut last autumn when noted making late headway. Relatives have improved with racing and when sent handicapping.
Not bred to stay this far and yard are off to a quiet start to the season. Will be qualified for handicaps after this and that is where her future probably lies.
Has looked green when well beaten on both starts to date. This is not a strong maiden but it remains doubtful she is ready to win races at this level at present.
Well beaten at long odds in two turf maidens. Sire's progeny do well on AW tracks but it will take more than that to see him land this.
Cost 52,000 guineas as a yearling. Not guaranteed to stay this far on pedigree but she was staying on at the end of a slowly run Beverley maiden over 1m2f last time. Yard have been quiet lately but that is largely down to horses needing their first run of the year.
£16,000 purchase and had the hood/blinkers combination fitted for her debut a month ago. Soon struggling that day and extra half mile not guaranteed to suit.
Forecasts
Pleasant Surprise (4/6), Doreen (7/2), Breton Belle (6/1), Mirzam (13/2), Asmahan (14/1), Plage Depampelonne (50/1), Navajo Grey (66/1), Vaudieu (80/1)
PLEASANT SURPRISE and Mirzam are both by Mastercraftsman. Neither are truly bred to go this far but this may not be a strongly run race and PLEASANT SURPRISE went well over the stiff Beverley 1m2f on debut. That run should have brought her on a good deal and she can land this weak maiden. Asmahan represents a yard that do well here and who are 4-17 over the past four weeks whilst Breton Belle is worth noting in the market for a yard that can get one ready first time and were amongst the winners yesterday.
- Pleasant Surprise
- Breton Belle
- Asmahan
