5lb higher than when winning over this trip at Lingfield in February and was only just held from 1lb lower than today on his next start. Big run here on Thursday when just failing to see out the final furlong. Holds his form well and back to his best trip for this.
Another restoration project for his specialist handler. Sole win came at Dundalk and he will be better for his latest run back from an 11-month absence. Rider has a modest 5-64 record for the yard.
Makes AW debut on return from a nine month absence. Has historically needed his first run back. Handicap mark is beginning to look more attractive and he is worth watching with an eye to the future.
Holding his form well but best efforts have been coming over 6f. Top rider has a surprisingly mediocre 0-10 record for the stable.
Unplaced on each of his last 11 starts after winning the Weatherbys Super Sprint at Newbury in 2015. Visor is refitted for second run back from an eight month break. Making AW debut and one to check out in the betting market.
Four time C&D winner. Has been running well off new marks since his victory at Newcastle in December. Meets potentially better treated horses here and jockey bookings suggest stable companion is their main hope.
Goes well here and has three C&D wins and three placed efforts from seven runs when starting at 8/1 or less. Rider has partnered him to three of his six career victories. On the negative side he is 0-22 in this grade.
Forecasts
Zac Brown (3/1), Fast Track (3/1), Independence Day (5/1), Dynamo Walt (6/1), Lathom (6/1), Exceed The Limit (8/1), Top Boy (16/1)
The Cowell pair are respected with Independence Day having the benefit of a recent run looking the pick. Fast Track would be more strongly fancied over 6f and Lathom is proving expensive to follow but his turn appears near. Top Boy looks the pick of the Shaw runners but he is yet to win in this grade. That leaves ZAC BROWN who is taken to make all on a track suited to his style. He has been performing consistently well at a higher level than this.
- Zac Brown
- Independence Day
- Fast Track
