Veteran who has been very lightly raced over the years and has clearly had his issues. Beaten in two sellers around the turn of the year and steps up in trip in the hope of improving his fortunes.
Landed Ludlow handicap hurdle in November 2015 but mostly disappointed since. Handicapper has eased his grip but still has plenty to do.
Has shown little in all starts so far over hurdles. Hope rest on first-time tongue tie making a difference but on balance is very hard to fancy.
Hasn't shown a great deal in four starts to date but makes handicap debut off relatively lowly mark so there may be a little improvement to come. Any market interest might be a positive sign.
Bred to stay but has looked decidedly moderate over this kind of a trip. Tailed off on handicap bow last time out and 3lb drop in weights may not be enough for him to become competitive.
Won maiden point-to-point a couple of years ago. Two starts under rules, latest on very testing ground. Better surface might help but needs to improve for this handicap bow.
Best effort to date came on debut in bumper on fairly quick ground. If it stays dry then possibility of an improved run, and not discounted in a very modest event.
Tumbled down the weights since joining current yard and has a definite chance on the pick of his from for Gordon Elliott. The anticipated better ground might help so one to note for any market moves.
Win two A/W handicaps for David Simcock and looked on way to making winning hurdles debut until unseating when going well 2 out at Ffos Las in December. Not excelled since then but still young and is at the right end of the handicap.
Slipping quickly down the weights and ran best race for a while when 5th at Taunton in March. In this lowly grade that run reads fairly well and wouldn't need to improve too much to get involved.
A potential improver who ran a satisfactory first race in handicap company on his latest start. Hard to say if he'll be better or worse for the forecast decent ground but at least is in some kind of form.
Second but beaten quite a long way last time out and has consequently been dropped a further 2lb. That represented an improvement though so you couldn't say he won't be pitching for one of the places.
Won Uttoxeter handicap hurdle two years ago off 4lb higher mark but has mostly been out of sorts since then. Beaten out of sight on each of his last six outings.

Forecasts
Brereton (5/2), Yeats Baby (5/1), Blackfire (7/1), Scales (8/1), Market Road (10/1), Ducloyne Lady (10/1), Friendship Bay (12/1), Work (14/1), Sheelbewhatsheelbe (16/1), Chicksgrove Sprite (16/1), Lucy Mc (20/1), Moonlight Flyer (25/1), Winido (33/1), Thefriendlygremlin (50/1)
Most of these are struggling for form at present so it might pay to take a chance on the relatively unexposed BRERETON who showed some promise on his last outing when making his handicap debut. Work has a tongue-tie applied that might help. She did hint at ability a few starts back and it's probably too early to give up on her just yet. Blackfire and Lucy Mc and the others worthy of consideration with the suspicion being that they might do a little better now encountering a decent surface.
