Cost 75,000 gns as a yearling but then went for just 24,000 gns at the Newmarket sales. Only moderate form in two starts so far and needs to find improvement from somewhere. Others hold more interest at this stage.
In danger of becoming frustrating after a series of near misses and may not be the most resilient performer on the card. However, the handicapper isn't taking any chances and has left him alone on a mark of 69, which sets the standard here. Others hold more scope but need to get past this fellow first.
Likeable breeding and represents the yard which won this last year. Showed improvement last time out and can be expected to be a lot wiser than a few of the rest. One to bear in mind.
Cost £27,000 and is related to a handful of winners between 6f and 1m; this trip ought to suit but she lacked a turn of foot on her debut at Newbury and needs to step things up considerably.
Bred to appreciate this trip and represents a yard that has registered a steady flow of winners in recent weeks. Sure to benefit from the experience and is a likely type to pay her way, so worth a check in the betting.
History tells a draw on either rail is a handy position in the stalls at Thirsk, so she's fared well on that score. Needs to post a much more determined performance than the one she gave a Pontefract earlier this moth, though. Likely to find her level in handicaps after this.
Hard to get enthusiastic about the level of form she posted over 6f last season and shapes as if at least another couple of furlongs will suit her better.
Hard to fancy on the evidence of finishing last in each of her previous starts. Others readily preferred.
Another that will head into handicapping on a pretty low rating if she doesn't post a much improved performance this afternoon. Has winners in her pedigree but she has yet to convince that she is capable of emulating them.
Cost just £3,000 but is a half-sister to a couple of decent handicappers, so has a few ticks in the right boxes. Improvement required from her debut run at Pontefract but she will be a bit wiser this time around. Interesting if backed.

There may be a race within Alfonso Manana at some point and he does deserve a change of fortune. He does, however, only set a modest standard to aim for and the likes of Majorette and Granny Roz have a touch more scope for improvement. However, ANGEL'S ACCLAIM also appeals as one that can step up to the plate at this level and, given that her yard won this last year, she looks to be following a tired and trusted path.
- Angel's Acclaim
- Majorette
- Granny Roz
