Not as good as he was although still a useful sort but his last turf win did come in a seller before he struck in a mile handicap on the AW at Newcastle. Continued his solid run of form last time out at Pontefract with a positive ride avoiding much of the trouble that was found behind and it remains to be seen if the same tactics are employed here.
Fairly useful sort in the AW but can race of a lower mark on turf and took advantage of not only the lower mark but the run of the race last time out under a well-judged positive ride. Same rider takes the mount today off a 3lb higher mark but may have trouble repeating the same tactics.
Trainer won a division of this last year but this one has had plenty of chances and remains a maiden. Well below form on her last two starts at the end of 2016 and questions to answer here.
Horse who has been around the block and makes his debut here for his fourth different GB trainer. Ran well enough when last seen over 7f on the AW and the fact remains he's thrown in on his old form but has never won since he left his native Brazil.
The step up to a mile for the first time at Carlisle in August appeared to suit although he never really backed that up in his subsequent starts. Did make a step back in the right direction over 7f last time out and this is an interesting jockey booking for the yard.
Still a maiden and only shown some fair form at best. Well held last time out in an AW maiden and mark still looks high enough for handicaps.
Not seen much over this trip and her last win came over 6f at Thirsk off a mark of 51. Since then her mark has risen steadily on the back of some consistent placed effort and she shaped well after a break over 7f last time out. A repeat of that win would put her into the mix here.
Mile winner last year at Hamilton shedding his maiden tag off a mark of 54 he hasn't really managed to follow that up off higher marks though. Back from a very long break here and still looks high enough in the handicap.
Consistent enough mare who can usually be relied on to win her share and turned in a career best last time out. Now off a mark 3lb higher and despite being in good form looks to have to improve again here to deft this mark.
Form in maidens has looked very modest and his only run in a handicap confirmed he had been handed a stiff mark. Tries his luck again in handicaps but looks as though he'll need further help from the handicapper.
Almost two years between wins when finally getting back on the winning trail last time out over a mile at Nottingham. Beat a subsequent winner there and although he's up 3lb here he has won off higher marks in the past and may still be able to take a hand here.
Winner off a 3lb lower mark at Musselburgh over a mile when making all with the cheekpieces back on. Same headgear employed on his latest two starts one on the AW and one on turf and finished a creditable fourth last time behind Cosmic Ray. Might not face an easy time in the lead here but capable off this mark for an in-form yard.
Has on quite a few occasions now run far better than his finishing position suggests on the AW all over trips further than he faces here. Back over a mile it would appear that he would need a good pace to aim to be seen at his best here but not one to rule out.
Makes his first start for a new trainer here and has shown nothing to go on and very hard to recommend here.

Crazy Tornado (11/2), Pivotman (13/2), Chiswick Bey (15/2), La Celebs Ville (8/1), Cosmic Ray (8/1), Adventureman (8/1), Energia Flavio (8/1), Overhaugh Street (8/1), Someone Exciting (9/1), Blue Jacket (12/1), Whitkirk (14/1), Be Kool (14/1), King Oswald (25/1), Major Assault (50/1), Captain Peaky (50/1), Dutch Barney (150/1)
A difficult start to the card with plenty of these having a chance and it won’t be an easy puzzle to solve. Cosmic Ray is one of those who has to enter the equation off the back of his recent runs along with horses from in-form yards like Adventureman and Pivotman. At bigger prices Crazy Tornado and King Oswald are a couple to watch but overall the vote goes to OVERHAUGH STREET who ran encouragingly on his most recent start.
- Overhaugh Street
- Cosmic Ray
- King Oswald
