Has looked a different prospect since switched to the larger obstacles and likely to enjoy the conditions here. Drop back in trip unlikely to be an issue and would appear to be the one to beat on form.

Patchy record (2-68) and didn't show a great deal on chase debut last time at Kelso. Can go well fresh and no ground concerns but withdrawn with colic at Sedgefield last week and will be of more interest when running back over hurdles.

Very uninspiring record, pulled-up in six of his eight starts but there is a piece of hurdles form at Warwick (second to El Bandit) that would give him a good winning in chance in here. First-time blinkers need to spark a revival and pulled-up on both of his starts over fences so likely to struggle.

Winning point-to-pointer who showed some promise in 2015 off much higher marks than this. Has had four runs back from an absence which saw him miss the whole of 2016., shaping nicely at Southwell latest when third of eight. Respected.

Very disappointing in six starts under rules and yet to beat a rival home. Not without a little market support on last two outings but hard to forward with any confidence after his jumping errors last time out.

Troufion (5/6), Wish In A Well (10/3), Blackwood Rover (4/1), Thady Quil (9/2), Grayhawk (7/1), Noble Call (25/1)

Verdict

TROUFION has improved for the switch to fences and he still looks unexposed in this discipline; he will go close if he returns in the same mood that saw him win at this course earlier in the month. Blackwood Rover appears to be slowly working his way back to form and looks capable of grabbing a place while Wish In A Well could prove best of the rest if he takes up this engagement .
