Is a winner at Doncaster, albeit over hurdles back in 2016, so handles the track, and worth a try at 2m after another good effort at Wolverhampton last time over 2f shorter, the first time hood squeezing out a bit more improvement. Chances if getting the trip.
Quality performer over hurdles when on song (rated in the 140's) but hard to win with, and hasn't scored since 2014. Another absence means this will be his first start since April 2016, and likelihood is that he will need the run.
Tough and genuine filly who won back-to-back handicaps at Newmarket and Windsor last year, handling both quicker and slow ground in the process. Good effort when last seen in March, appearing to stay this trip well, and still remains on an upward curve. Looks a player.
Form tailed right off towards the end of last year but did win here over slightly shorter almost a year to the day, and that came after a break, so fresh could be the time to catch him. Slight concern that best efforts have come at shorter, but still not ruled out from a winnable mark.
Reliable old yardstick who wins in his turn, but those wins do tend to come in company a little less taxing than he faces today. Solid enough effort at Catterick latest without suggesting he was about to win again, and one or two others hold stronger claims.

There's the possibility this turns into a crawl, with no conformed front runner in the race, and it might be worth chancing the suspect stamina of BRAES OF LOCHALSH if that's going to be the case. Fresh might be the time to chance him and if they don't go too quickly here, his stamina may not be tested too harshly. Similar comments apply to Ardamir, who seemed to run a little better last time and may be improving. Fire Jet is tough and if fit, should pick up some prizemoney again.
