Former French racer (mixed hurdles with chasing), but has arguably regressed during six spins over hurdles with this trainer (over a variety of trips). Remains a maiden so others preferred.
Shown little since switching yards from Sandra Hughes after winning on the Flat at Navan in August 2016, but did win a maiden hurdle at Punchestown in October 2015 for his former trainer (over this trip) and his mark is gradually easing.
Made her stable debut at Kelso earlier in the month when sixth of 13 to Sudski Star and could improve for that run which was her first start since September 2016 (ex Lucinda Russell trained).
Multiple winner in France on predictable soft ground, but no promise in four races for this Ayrshire based trainer (mainly over further), and easily overlooked for now despite falling 18lb in the weights.
Reliable, but no star, and finally off the mark at the seventeenth attempt last time at Sedgefield, which owed much to the under-performing Taws as anything else. Down in trip and harshly 10lb higher.
11 race maiden (if including Point-to-Points) and no signs of progress since joining this yard, finishing last of seven at Wetherby in January when last seen in action.
Made smooth progress in the race and stayed on steadily to down Peppay Le Pugh by 3¾L in a 2m soft ground handicap hurdle at Uttoxeter almost a month ago. 5lb higher and would need a career best performance to follow up.
Maiden, but with lower mileage than some. Tries this trip in handicap company for the first time, but a real surprise if he's good enough despite a falling mark.
Dual AW winner at Newcastle since June 2016 (both over 2m from a rating below 50), but an eight race maiden over hurdles and only ninth of 13 when last in action at Sedgefield on Boxing Day.
Long in the tooth these days, but a 17 time winner, which the vast majority of this field could only dream about; but tailed off in this race in 2016 (17th of 18) and ran over fences latest.
Eleventh of 18 in this contest in 2016, and has raced just once since then at Hexham in June 2016. Not without an each-way shout on that Hexham effort (fourth), but hard to be confident about this nine race maiden despite the paucity of opposition. Wears cheek-pieces for the first time.
His form in maiden and juvenile hurdles is far from encouraging, and he's steadily regressed on the Flat so others are readily preferred.
Nine race Flat maiden and dismal in four starts over hurdles so far including on handicap debut at Hexham latest (mares contest).
Three time hurdle winner (including twice over C&D in 2013). Rated 96 for that second Perth success and now 16lb lower, and did win from a similar mark to this at Kelso in September. Player under the same rider in a desperate race.
Seven race hurdles maiden and no reason to expect better than when last of nine at Musselburgh late last month despite a 6lb fall in the weights.

Forecasts
Sweet Holly (7/2), Mash Potato (9/2), Sports Barrow (13/2), Louloumills (7/1), Momkinzain (11/1), Danny O'ruairc (12/1), Christmas In Usa (14/1), Byronegetonefree (18/1), Firstymini (18/1), Monbeg Cave (20/1), Parkie Boy (20/1), Miss Mackie (22/1), Endeavor (22/1), Bahrikate (33/1), It's A Long Story (33/1), My Valentino (66/1)
A shocking low grade affair in which the majority of the field look devoid of ability. Louloumills was off the mark at Sedgefield recently, but one must feel sorry for her connections given a fairly harsh handicap rise. Mash Potato needs a career best to follow up his Uttoxeter success, but this is a winnable race. Sports Barrow is not totally out of contention on his best form for Sandra Hughes, whilst Sweet Holly could do better now with Malcolm Jefferson. However, pressed for a selection, dual course winner MOMKINZAIN gets the vote despite entering the veteran stage of his career.
- Momkinzain
- Sweet Holly
- Sports Barrow
