Was all the rage for last month's Champion Bumper at Cheltenham after successive wins at Leopardstown and Naas. Held every chance entering the final 3f there but wasn't able to deliver a challenge. Remains talented but plenty on to turn around that form with Fayonagh.
Effortless winner of two bumpers last summer at Market Rasen and Killarney and hasn't been seen for 249 days since. This is clearly going to be an altogether tougher challenge but there could well be plenty more under the bonnet.

Won a Fairyhouse bumper in January in good style in sole previous run, form of which has worked out fine. This will be much tougher and trainer is enduring a bit of a lean spell recently which has got to be of some concern.

Point-to-point winner and did the job with minimal fuss on rules bow at Navan in February in this sphere. Clearly a promising individual though will have it all on to lower the colours of his flying stablemate Fayonagh.
Winner at this meeting a year ago and reappeared with gutsy Leopardstown success in February, beating off a touted Willie Mullins-trained runner with the pair having come well clear. Attracted plenty support for the Champion Bumper at Cheltenham last month before coming out on the day of the race and has to be much-respected here with yard positively flying lately.

Came with a fantastic late winning run at Cheltenham to scoop Champion Bumper success last month. That made it three wins from four starts and she showed remarkable speed to get herself out of trouble having won cosily previously. Sets an exacting standard for the others to aim at in this.
Scored on debut at Fontwell 26 days ago in decent style and interesting that British trainer has elected to come straight here for what looks a hot race. He's a half-brother to three Flat winners in France but faces a stern examination of his credentials now.

Forecasts

Fayonagh (11/8), Someday (10/3), Poli Roi (9/2), Carter Mckay (7/1), Paloma Blue (12/1), Go Another One (16/1), Dell Oro (25/1)

Verdict

The burst of speed that carried FAYONAGH from last to first at Cheltenham last month was something to behold, the mare is clearly a bit special and she can give Jamie Codd another helping hand in his personal title pursuit by extending her excellent record in this sphere. Someday is much-respected given the form of the Harrington team and it is worth recalling that he was well-backed prior to a late withdrawal at Cheltenham last time. Poli Roi shouldn't be written off despite being the selection's stablemate while Carter McKay is potentially much better than he showed in the Cotswolds a month ago and could well bounce back.
  1. Fayonagh
  2. Someday
  3. Carter Mckay
