Relatively unexposed at this trip and encouraging that he has made the frame over C&D in the past. Responded well in a first-time visor to win at Southwell last time out; more to do this time over a couple of extra furlongs but respected as one that arrives in good heart.
On a long losing run but is 8lb below his last winning mark, so has a theoretical chance of bouncing back. Likes to make the running, however, and will always be vulnerable to a strong finisher.
Less exposed than the rest needs to better his efforts posted in maidens so far. The drop in trip may help but others may be too wily for him at this level.
Has won at this track but was below expectations last time out and has something to prove now he steps up in trip once more.
Won over an extended 7f at this course last season but form tailed off towards the end of the campaign. He was never really a factor on his recent reappearance and has a bit to find this time around. The rider's 7lb claim is a bonus if he can dig into his reserves over a trip that pushes him to the limit.
Won over C&D last August but struggled after reassessment. Now dropped to a handy rating though and, with an eye-catching jockey booking, doesn't have too much to find to get competitive. One to seriously consider if backed at decent odds.
Dropped to a very attractive mark but hasn't tasted much success in recent times (losing run stands at 29 up to press). Ran well in a seller over C&D last time out but more required here.
Won over 1m here in March so respected on that effort, but has a bit to prove over this trip and looks opposable from a 6lb higher mark.
Finally got off the mark when last seen out, when gaining just reward for a handful of consistent efforts. Needs to prove his fitness after his winter break but is only 2lb higher and has place claims if copes with the return to Lingfield.
Gets on well with Hollie Doyle, who's 3lb claim is a handy asset to boost the appeal. However, this fellow has never won beyond a mile and needs everything to go his way to break the hoodoo over the trip.
Doesn't have too many miles on the clock but was poor last time out and the first-time cheekpieces need to transform him over this longer trip. Not difficult to overlook.
Hasn't beaten many horses home in any of her three previous starts and has plenty to prove in making her handicap debut for a new yard over a new trip. Also untested on the surface in public so not hard to give her the swerve from a betting perspective.

All of these have questions to answer for one reason or another but there are good grounds for giving GUNNER MOYNE a chance to prove himself capable of coping with this sort of challenge and he gets a tentative seal of approval. Monna Valley also appeals as a leading candidate in a modest race like this and is one to bear in mind if supported in the betting. Estibdaad is another that comes into the reckoning on the pick of his efforts but his style of running leaves him vulnerable to a more doughty stayer. Victoriously arrives after a confidence-boosting win last time out and may be the best of the rest if he is in the same frame of mind.
