Starts life with a new yard 3lb above his last winning mark which he scored off at Yarmouth over 7f with everything going his way. That was a career best and he'll need to match that to have a chance here off top weight.

Winner of his last two starts with the first coming in a handicap before he followed up in a C&D claimer. Certainly didn't need to improve last time out and now with a new yard does need to produce more here off a mark 11lb above his last handicap win.

Certainly has the worst of the draw here on the wide outside and has never won in handicaps from eight attempts. Well below form on his return after finishing last year rather poorly.

Has proved effective on turf despite most of her racing being done on the AW. Proved better than ever (back from a break) when winning over 7f at Wolverhampton in January and improved again when winning her penultimate start at Newcastle also over 7f. Still appeared to be at the top of her game last time out when beaten at Wolverhampton (did best of those held-up off a slow pace) and granted a stronger pace of interest here back on turf for the first time for eight months.

A career record of 1/25 hardly inspires confidence with that solitary win coming on his second lifetime start over 5f when he was a juvenile. There have been a few creditable efforts since then in big-field handicaps and he certainly shaped well last time out over 7f at Doncaster off what has become an appealing mark.

His form has rather an up-and-down look about it with his Ayr win last season so far being the pinnacle. Looked a decent handicapper that day although he was racing from a career low mark (74) and he looked to struggle a little after that off the sort of mark he runs today.

Well drawn for an out-and-out front runner who is a three-time winner around here over this distance. Recent comeback at Ripon (6f) was probably needed and with a capable claimer on board will be dangerous with an easy lead here.

Interesting contender who makes his debut for an in-form yard making his handicap debut after disappointing on his last start in Ireland nearly a year ago. The trip was probably too far on that occasion and he had looked a better horse when winning over 1m at Gowran Park. His mark doesn't look to onerous and he should be watched in the market from a yard that know the time of day.

This 7f trip may prove a little too far for this fairly useful handicapper who is probably seen to better effect over 6f. Was a winner at Thirsk over 6f around a year ago off this same mark and he shaped well on his seasonal return and is well worth watching out for when he returns to 6f.

Winner here last year over 6f when he came back to form out of the blue. No surprise that he's failed to reproduce that form since though and looked to struggle down in grade last time out.

Ballymore Castle (5/2), Tadaany (13/2), Safe Voyage (13/2), Bint Arcano (7/1), Lagenda (15/2), Fingal's Cave (8/1), Explain (9/1), Luis Vaz De Torres (10/1), Madroos (12/1), Jacbequick (14/1), Carnival King (16/1), Bernie's Boy (16/1), Best Trip (33/1)

Some very interesting types in this handicap which should be run at a good pace with Best Trip well berthed to take the field along. That should suit the improving Bint Arcano returning to turf and the handicap debutante Madroos who has his first run for a yard who have started the season very well. Safe Voyage and Fingal’s Cave are both recent winners but BALLYMORE CASTLE has now fallen to a very attractive mark and may at last build on his solitary career win.
  1. Ballymore Castle
  2. Madroos
  3. Best Trip
