No win since 2015, although has hit the bar a couple of times, and a reproduction of his last piece of turf form - a second at Salisbury last July - would see him go close from this mark. Risky, especially with yard form poor, but won't get many easier opportunities than this.
Winner at Wolverhampton in February and followed that up with a respectable fourth next time out (when made favourite) but both those efforts came at 6f, and this drop back to the minimum not necessarily in his favour. Still, in race lacking any depth, has to be given a second look.
Would carry this lot on the best of his form, and on the plus side, did win around this time last year, but has looked regressive in recent starts and hard to have much confidence in, despite good jockey booking. Yard struggling for form too.
Maiden after 23 starts but does at least come here on the back of a good run, which is more than most do, that being a second at Chelmsford. May not be entirely straightforward but in such a weak race, has to be considered.
Infrequent winner (just 3 wins from 38 starts) and this drop back to the minimum trip isn't necessarily a positive either. Hasn't beaten a horse home in his last two starts and others readily preferred.
Yard do land the odd huge-priced winner here, and this one has popped up at 50/1 back in the day, but recent efforts far less encouraging and he needs the switch back to turf to have a major effect.
Yet to win in 19 starts and only has a couple of placed efforts to show. Well beaten in recent outings and hard to see why she should do any better today.
No win in 18 starts to date, and finishing effort has lacked conviction on more than a few occasions. Conditions fine but even in this weak contest, needs improvement from somewhere.
Rated just 39 and races from well out of the handicap here. No realistic chance of taking this bar mishaps to the others.

There's next to no recent solid form here, with the honourable exception of Hurricane Alert, who finished second at Chelmsford last time out. A repeat of that seems him go close, but maybe the switch back to the turf might spark ONLY TEN PER CENT back to his better form. Conditions are fine if so and in such a weak race, he would hold a leading chance. Strictly Carter should be doing some good late work and can get in the frame.
