Winner of her final two starts of last season including off a 5lb lower mark on the AW at Kempton over 7f. Previously successful on good ground at Thirsk and an interesting runner for a yard with a 23% strike-rate here in recent seasons (7/30).
Placed off a 2lb higher mark in a 7f handicap at Goodwood (good-to-firm) in July and off the mark when justifying odds-on favouritism by a head at Salisbury next time out. Disappointed on final run of 2016 when slowly away and has been gelded since.
Successful over C&D off a 1lb higher mark on good-to-firm ground in a four runner contest on her seasonal debut in May 2016. Also successful off this mark at Chepstow two months later and making her first appearance since running on the AW at Lingfield in November.
Finished in the frame in each of his last six outings. Last success came over 6f at Windsor (good-to-firm) off a 6lb lower mark in July 2016. Also a winner of 7f on the AW at Kempton in 2016 and having his first start at this track.
Victorious twice from 23 career outings. Beaten a neck over 1m at Goodwood (good) on his penultimate outing last October and ran well when finishing fourth over an extended 1m at Nottingham subsequently Stiff finish here should suit but have to go back to July 2015 to find his last success..
C&D winner who was successful twice last season including on his penultimate start at Wolverhampton over 7f in August. Success here came off a 14lb lower mark on good-to-firm ground in June 2015 and interesting here.
Successful five times in 2016 including over 6f off a 3lb higher mark on the AW at Lingfield in December. Below par at over the same C&D earlier this month and needs to bounce back returning to turf here.
Forecasts
Ice Age (11/4), Tigerwolf (10/3), Fast Dancer (4/1), Coronation Day (9/2), Lyfka (8/1), Arlecchino's Leap (14/1), Swiss Cross (22/1)
With no obvious front-runner CORONATION DAY who's raced prominently in recent outings may be given a soft lead in this 7f handicap. The selection won her final two starts of 2016 at Thirsk and Kempton and has a more progressive profile than her rivals here. Ice Age ran well at Goodwood on his final start of last season and has won off an absence in the past while Lyfka has won off this mark in the past and is another to note having won on her seasonal debut over C&D in 2016.
- Coronation Day
- Ice Age
- Lyfka
