Went close in a maiden over this trip at Lingfield last year and credible effort on turf at Ascot in September when last seen. Makes handicap debut now in return to action and could have a big say.
Made it three wins on the spin with reappearance success over this trip at Wolverhampton earlier this month. Raised another 4lb on that win but looks sure to be in the thick of it again.
Form in four AW starts isn't convincing, including three previous attempts over this C&D, returns from a break now with plenty to prove.
Was finishing fast over 6f at Chelmsford City on recent reappearance and first start for this yard to finish close third. Goes up the minimum for that effort and extra furlong looks a positive now.
Remains a maiden after six runs, far from disgraced over this trip at Wolverhampton in January having gone off a 50/1 chance and is rated 4lb lower this time. Record at this track is a source of worry.
Landed a Wolverhampton contest over this trip on handicap bow last month, the race perhaps being run to suit. Not able to repeat back there since but remains one to watch in the betting ahead of this Polytrack debut.
Aptly named it seems, there is no secret that this son of Sakhee's Secret will have to improve significantly on anything that he's done in five runs to date to take any sort of hand in the finish.
Hasn't exactly looked progressive in three starts in maidens, latest coming over this trip at Southwell 40 days ago and leaving her with plenty to prove now on handicap debut.
Needs to find something more than was shown in two C&D handicaps in September, has been off since a decent effort that same month at Chelmsford and is now rated 6lb lower for return to this track.
Makes handicap debut in this contest, though form of three outings in maidens suggests it is going to remain a tough task for now.
Had shown some promise in pair of maidens at Lingfield this year but very lacklustre on handicap bow at Wolverhampton last month. Steps up in distance here with lots to prove as a result
Wasn't able to see things out over a mile at this track last month on handicap bow, drops 4lb for that effort and down in distance but needs a chunk of improvement to get in the mix.
Not disgraced in AW runs at Wolverhampton and Newcastle this year, though will need to come forward on Polytrack debut if hoping to play a big part in this.
Very disappointing so far in seven career starts, did run most promising race in a 6f handicap here in January though even that effort leaves her with plenty questions to answer still.
Forecasts
Coverham (7/2), A Sure Welcome (4/1), Jack Blane (5/1), Robin's Purse (15/2), Sixties Habana (8/1), Tranquil Tracy (12/1), Sweet Pursuit (14/1), Varun's Bride (14/1), Huddersfilly Town (14/1), The Secrets Out (25/1), Venetian Proposal (33/1), Sparkling Cossack (33/1), Secret Willow (66/1), Raspberry Princess (100/1)
COVERHAM took a while to get going over 6f at Chelmsford City on his reappearance before coming home faster than anything for a close third. Fitter now and with an extra furlong in which to get himself organised, he is capable of shedding the maiden tag. The returning Robin's Purse should be winning races before too long while A Sure Welcome is expected to give the four-timer a decent crack and will be a big threat if able to play his cards late. Jack Blane would benefit if there isn't too much pace on up front.
- Coverham
- A Sure Welcome
- Robin's Purse
