Exeter specialist who is suited to forcing tactics. Gained an overdue success last time and a 7lb rise puts her on a career high mark. Yet to prove her effectiveness on ground as quick as this.
Change of scenery reaped immediate reward when landing a poor race over fences at Huntingdon. Appreciated the longer trip that day and, if as effective over hurdles, he could take some beating.
Dam was kept to minimum distances under NH rules and sire is not much of an influence for stamina. Has been known to give problems at the start and he was very poor last time. Drops in the weights but chances are not obvious.
Win record of 2-54 and has shown nothing in five starts for his new yard. Usually races on much softer ground than this and visor needs to have a positive effect.
Improved for stepping up to a trip in line with his pedigree last time but was unlucky to catch a much improved rival. Jumping still leaves something to be desired. In form yard fit blinkers for the first time.
Good effort last time over an inadequate trip. Would appreciate some rain but not one to rule out in such a weak race.
Forecasts
Honkytonktennessee (10/11), Derrick D'Anjou (3/1), Shoofly Milly (6/1), It's Oscar (8/1), Oriental Fixer (20/1), Astigos (50/1)
Shoofly Milly will attempt to make all but this tight track and quicker ground present her with a different test than when scoring last time. She needs to produce a career best and faces a much improved rival in the shape of HONKYTONKTENNESSEE. Dan Skelton produced him to score over fences on his first run for the yard last Monday. There is room for a lot more to come judged on that battling display and the yard remain in form. Derrick D'anjou will appreciate this test and improved for the fitting of blinkers last time. The booking of the champion jockey (4-12) for the yard adds further credibility to his prospects.
- Honkytonktennessee
- Derrick D'anjou
