Comfortable winner here off 4lb lower in August. That was over 2m6f and he shaped well last time over 3m at Huntingdon. On a handy mark here and stable, who took this in 2013 with another young horse returning from a break, are enjoying their best spell of the season.

Heavily penalised (raised 12lb) for his 8L victory at Taunton in December over 3m2f. The runner-up has been so poor since that he has dropped 12lb in the weights. Connections have found another weak race, so despite those reservations, he remains difficult to dismiss.

Yard without a winner since his victory last July. Has claims on some of his form but needs to be forgiven another poor effort last time.

Multiple winning point-to-pointer who took advantage of a lenient mark at Lingfield in November. Ground conditions excuse her next two defeats but she was poor again when last seen in January. Entirely possible that she will do better back from a break.

Form has a patchy look about it. This may be down to jumping errors and ground conditions. Worth a try at this trip but best efforts have come with some cut in the ground.

Landed his first race in three years when beating the only other finisher in a 3m5f contest in bad ground at Warwick. Soundly beaten next time but remains a possibility in a race as weak as this.

Winner of three races including a success here over 2m6f. Suffered a setback in 2015 and has not been the same horse since.

Feeling Peckish133
Age: 13|  Weight: 10-0| J: S Corby(3)| T: M C Chapman| OR:  34

Shown no appetite for racing since his return from a significant absence and plies his trade from well outside the handicap once again.

Forecasts

The Last Bridge (10/3), Jack Snipe (7/2), Mister Dick (7/2), Galros Lady (9/2), Trehan Cross (7/1), Kilcascan (10/1), Sgt Bull Berry (16/1), Feeling Peckish (250/1)

Verdict

It is hard to make a case for most of these. Trehan Cross may improve for the longer trip but the ground may be too lively for her. Jack Snipe and The Last Bridge were winners last time but the form is questionable. Jack Snipe beat a horse who has been well beaten since and a 12lb rise looks harsh. The Last Bridge will find conditions here a lot quicker than when ploughing through bad ground to beat one other finisher at Warwick. With these doubts in mind it should pay to side with the topweight MISTER DICK. His yard are in excellent form and things were not going so well for them when he was last seen. A comfortable win here over 2m6f suggests he may be well treated and, if staying this longer trip, the race is his for the taking.
  1. Mister Dick
  2. Jack Snipe
  3. Trehan Cross
