Cape Cross colt, cost €50,000 as a foal and €85,000 as a yearling. Disappointing debut on the face of it at Lingfield earlier this month but capable of improvement for a yard in flying form so not entirely ruled out.
Bred to be a decent middle distance performer and there was no shame in his debut defeat in a Nottingham maiden. Still looked like he was learning on the job at Leicester last time before getting the hang of things once the bird had flown. Trainer and jockey in spectacular form this week and had a winner here Friday so far from dismissed but he needs to have learned plenty if he's to get the better of this deeper field. Trainer has an excellent record in this race.

Sea The Stars colt, cost 250,000 gns as a foal and half-brother to Group 1 winner Rajeem. Very green and ran with the choke out at Yarmouth on debut and needs to have learned plenty from that but beautifully bred and in the right hands so should go well.

Dubawi colt who is a full-brother to the talented Group 1 winner Al Kazeem. Dam was unplaced but was out of an Oaks runner-up. Trainer has done very well with a limited number of runners so far this campaign and this jockey has a good strike-rate when teaming up with this trainer. Worth his 3lb claim and could go well.

Deep Impact colt and full brother to three winners in Japan, most notably Group 1 winner Mikki Queen. Well beaten on debut at Newcastle in November but that effort not completely devoid of promise and yard had a winner on Thursday so they may have turned the corner. Should enjoy the step up in trip and leading player.
Giant's Causeway colt, related to several winners, most notably a half-brother to multiple Group 1 winner Campanologist. Excellent effort on debut in a hot looking maiden towards the end of last season. Trainer flying and has been having winners all week at here and Newmarket. Should go well with Moore in the saddle and trainer has an excellent record in this race.

Frankel colt whose dam was a half-sister to French 2,000 Guineas winner Aussie Rules. Related to several other winners and looks to have stamina in abundance. Yard had a winner last week and interesting to see what the market makes of him.

Frankel colt who is a half brother to three-time Group 1 and Irish 2,000 Guineas winner Dubawi. Beaten short-priced favourite on debut here last year but trainer has been firing in the winners this week and market likely to reveal expectations.

Cacique filly who is a half-sister to Gracious Journey. May not want any more of a stamina test on debut but she should go well and trainer/jockey struck up a fruitful relationship last season.

Forecasts

Master Singer (3/1), Face The Facts (7/2), Uae King (4/1), Karawaan (6/1), Lethal Impact (8/1), Really Super (9/1), Kazawi (16/1), Rhodes House (22/1), Akamanto (33/1)

Verdict

Another red-hot looking maiden and MASTER SINGER looks capable of going well after a very promising debut effort towards the end of last year. With the stable in flying form it would be folly to rule out stablemate Face The Facts who has the benefit of more experience than several of these. Lethal Impact was well beaten on debut but should be capable of better while Kazawi who is a full-brother to Al Kazeem looks like a fascinating debutante.
  1. Master Singer
  2. Face The Facts
  3. Kazawi
