Made a winning debut at Huntingdon when he was a big outsider and that form could be weak and he looked to have the run of the race there. Looks vulnerable under a penalty.
Cost £15,000 after winning a point-to-point. Forced the pace to this distance at Fakenham on debut until fading. That was a better race than this and shorter trip will assist. Stable do well on their rare forays here (3-14).

Tailed off on sole start for Tony Carroll in 2015. Yard have had some success on the Flat recently but otherwise impossible to be positive about his prospects. Yard landed this in 2015.

By Yanworth's sire out of a dam who won a C&D bumper. Yard are 1-52 in this class of race in last five seasons.
Fetched €10,000 and is out of an unraced dam who is a half-sister to Warne. Stable's are 5-22 in bumpers here, and took this in 2016, but have been off the boil lately.

Weak in the market before finishing a remote second here on debut. That was a weak race and this diminutive mare lacks scope to improve. Shorter trip will help but yard are 0-7 with runners in similar races here.
First foal to race out of a dam who won four races for this yard (a bumper and three on the Flat). Rare runner in this class of event for a yard that are 2-70 under NH rules over the past five seasons.

Forecasts

Wine Women An'song (11/4), White Valiant (3/1), Charlie Papa Lima (3/1), Waikiki Waves (7/2), Jersey Bean (5/1), Jimmy (10/1), Legend Of France (20/1), Mayden Massini (33/1), Noble Glance (50/1)

Verdict

Jersey Bean would be of more interest if there are any indications his stable are returning to form. White Valiant may struggle under his penalty whilst Wine Women An'Song may be a false price judged on a mediocre debut when bookmakers could not give her away. Waikiki Waves represents a yard who are out of form but one which have done well in bumpers here in the past. CHARLIE PAPA LIMA is a winning point-to-pointer representing a yard that have had a quiet season. They are over those problems now and make a rare venture here. He tried to make all at Fakenham in a stronger race than this and the shorter trip should be ideal.
  1. Charlie Papa Lima
  2. Waikiki Waves
  3. Wine Women An'song
