Just the one start previously, effectively giving away the race with a slow start out of the gates at Ballinrobe last July over this trip. Can surely improve on that effort
Beaten a long way in both starts over a mile so far, one at Navan on turf in September and again 12 days ago on the AW at Dundalk. Lot to prove right now.
Debut over 6f at Naas recently saw her making some progress 2f out but unable to threaten principles and beaten around 6L, markedly upped in trip this time.
Daughter of Soldier Of Fortune has really struggled in a pair of mile maidens on the AW so far, needs a big jump forward on first turf outing to have any say in this.
A daughter of Fastnet Rock, she represents up and coming young trainer and very powerful owners and should be paid the closest of attention in the betting.
Shaped with promise in two runs last backend, beaten 4L last time in a 6f maiden at Naas in October. Represents Ballydoyle and goes up markedly in trip for this return.
Runner-up on debut at Cork in a heavy ground maiden over an extended mile, better surface here and looks a big player with potential to do better for leading connections.
First two starts last autumn for the New Approach filly were in Group races, but fared little better in an average maiden over the mile at Navan on final appearance. May be ready to do better this term, worth market check.
Cut no ice in debut over a mile at Dundalk on the AW in February and drop to 6f since at Naas ten days ago no help. Hard to be confident of a positive showing here.
Finished around 10L in arrears of Dabulena at Cork recently on second start, likely has a big task to turn around that form today.
Dark Angel filly comes to the track for the first time and is respected for her master-trainer but does appear on jockey bookings to be the stable's second string.
A filly out of Teofilo, she's making her first appearance on the track and the arrangements would suggests she's second string for the Bolger team.
Well held in a couple of turf maidens last June, latest over 7f at Leopardstown, she goes up in distance now and while the trainer can do little wrong currently, doesn't appear a winner in waiting in this heat.
Forecasts
Dabulena (1/1), Alluringly (9/4), Hushing (9/1), Dawn Of A New Era (12/1), Afternoon Delight (14/1), Kalamriyda (20/1), Misty Mountain (25/1), Lamh Ar Lamh (33/1), Creadan (66/1), Miss Opportunity (66/1), Fireflies (66/1), Mel Biechif Diane (100/1), Rive Normande (100/1)
There was plenty to like about the debut run of DABULENA at Cork earlier in the month. She goes up slightly in trip now and should meet a sounder surface. With the prospect of an improved run, it won't be a big surprise if she goes one better. Alluringly goes out in trip here and is respected for Ballydoyle having run well enough over much shorter in two autumn starts, while newcomer Afternoon Delight is respected in famous colours and Dawn Of A New Era could be the type to improve on her 2yo form.
- Dabulena
- Alluringly
- Afternoon Delight
