Wolverhampton specialist, with all three career wins coming at Dunstall Park over this trip. Yet to win a handicap on turf in six attempts and now 12lb lower than when last tried in one at Haydock in October. Interesting if supported.
Not as good as he was in the early part of his career when taking a pair of handicaps from a mark of 89, but still good enough to score over C&D (good) in September from 3lb lower than today. Stable going well, although this gelding has yet to win when fresh, but can't be ruled out.
Won over C&D (good to soft) when fresh two years ago, then trained by Robert Cowell. 4lb higher than that today and has first start for new yard in cheek pieces. Very interesting if she can perform to her best, given that she was not beaten far in a Newmarket handicap from 5lb higher last season.
Won four off the reel last spring to rise 20lb in the handicap. Top and tailed a really good season with a couple of poor runs, so the return from a break has to be a bit of a concern. Otherwise, stable in great form and a 10lb claim by his rider cannot be underestimated. Very competitive.
Won three of his first five starts in 2015, but has been unable to add to that. Went very close over 6f here in August (good) when 2lb higher and got competitive on reappearance at Wolverhampton last month. Stable among the winners and this representative can go close from a good draw.
Won a 6f maiden here in May (good) in first-time cheek pieces and has run well in them in defeat in three out of four starts since. Returns after a winter off from same mark as she finished last season and can get competitive.

Seamster (15/8), Quatrieme Ami (3/1), Foxtrot Knight (7/2), Desert Ace (7/2), Black Grass (9/2), General Alexander (11/2), Gwendolyn (12/1)
Black Grass represents a stable going well and with a 10lb claimer up he will take a bit of beating if ready first time, although he did need his first outing last season. Desert Ace is another with decent credentials, though he has yet to be as effective when fresh. Foxtrot Knight should not be far away from winning, though preference is for GWENDOLYN, who won here in 2015, is well handicapped on her form from Newmarket last year and sports first-time cheekpieces, while fitness is not an issue.
- Gwendolyn
- Foxtrot Knight
