About Glory181
Age: 3|  Weight: 9-5| J: R L Moore| T: R Hannon
12/1
Nayef colt who cost 55,000 gns as a yearling but finished soundly beaten on debut. Yard arrive in better form this time around though and the jockey booking catches the eye so any market confidence could be significant.

9/2
Teofilo colt who cost 110,000 gns as a yearling. Related to some classy middle distance performers, including Group 3 winner Stellar Mass and should be suited by trip and ground on debut. Trainer has been firing in the winners of late and this colt has a Derby entry; looks the most interesting of the newcomers.

Stuggled to quicken off a slow pace on debut at Newcastle after missing the break but backed like defeat was out of the question and related to plenty of winners. May be able to gain compensation with the experience under his belt but this is probably a deeper contest.

Son of Halling who represents connections in flying form, particularly at this meeting throughout this week. This trip looks a stiff enough stamina test on debut though and doesn't hold any fancy entries.

Mafaaheem171
Age: 3|  Weight: 9-5| J: S De Sousa| T: Owen Burrows
12/1
Beaten 4L on latest start at Kempton in October and beaten a similar distance on debut at Newbury. May enjoy faster ground and a longer trip but likely to be more effective in handicaps which he qualifies for after this run.

Son of Oasis Dream who cost 205,000 gns as a foal and this trip should be up his street but the fact he's already gelded is unlikely to be a good sign and he's well down the order on jockey bookings.

7/2
Half-brother to Group One winner Potemkin who ran well on debut at Goodwood when runner-up but beaten as a 1/6 shot earlier in the month around Wolverhampton after racing too freely early on. Trainer in typically good form but hard to fancy with that perfromance still fresh in the memory. Wears a first-time tongue-tie.

Finished a respectable fifth of 16 on debut at Newbury over a trip that was likely to be on the short side. Form of that race looks and with better expected over this kind of distance, he's worthy of consideration.

Eye-catching third on debut at Yarmouth when he managed to make up ground from the back of the field after a tardy start to run on well in the closing stages. Likely to want this test of stamina and interesting booking of the reigning Champion Jockey.

Well beaten 150/1 shot on debut and only beat one home in 16 runner maiden at Doncaster on reappearance. Hard to fancy.

Forecasts

Hold Sway (9/4), Tamleek (11/4), Pealer (7/2), Daawy (9/2), Calibration (9/2), Grieg Hall (13/2), Rising (8/1), Mafaaheem (12/1), About Glory (12/1), Globetrotter (14/1), Oasis Charm (25/1), Seventii (200/1)

Verdict

Globetrotter was very well backed on his debut and only just failed to get home after a tardy effort from the stalls; the colt will have learnt plenty from that experience and should go well. Hold Sway's two efforts to date have been filled with promise but it's the debutante DAAWY who looks the most interesting. He was related to some classy middle distance horses and holds a Derby entry so he looks like an exciting prospect for a trainer and jockey both in flying form.
  1. Daawy
  2. Hold Sway
  3. Globetrotter
